Is GOP Hub kaput?

It appears that our database has, for the last time, hit the dust. At this point, we are uncertain as to how to best proceed. Honestly, the whole social news aspect of the site never really took off, though we did have a number of loyal contributors (that I will attempt to list below). We are looking into turning GOP Hub into a conservative video portal, which hopefully will come to pass in the not so distant future. Thanks to all of you who used the site and check back soon for updates. Oh, and by the way, we are not affiliated with the RNC, etc.

Blogs you might enjoy (in no particular order):

A note from Radarsite (Rogerguy): This is the announcement that appeared at GOP Hub today under Published News. If this is true, this represents a great loss for conservative Americans. We can only hope that something can change this decision. Damn! - rg
Update: It's official. I have just heard from the owner. GOP Hub is definitely no more.
A sad day for a lot of Conservatie bloggers. rg

  1. I do hope they will get it back up. Or maybe someone else will start a new one.

  2. Gosh, I'm ashamed to say I didn't even know about GOPhub until you sent the link today!!!!

I planned to ask you about. Looks like all of you put in a lot of hard work.

  3. For whatever underlines (database hitting the dust?), we should at least take pride in the effort to convey messages that other sites didn't.
Let's stay on course, continuing nobility of thought and words that we have shared.

  4. We will of course keep plugging away. But losing GOP Hub is sad. It was my personal favorite Conservative Forum. And it's owner and editor Jonathon was a pleasure to deal with. Many times he corrected my errors or duplicate postings. And he always responded to my queries quickly and politely. I feel that I have lost a good friend.

  5. Thanks for the kind words Roger... I am definitely considering options for going forward. I'll let you know if I start another conservative site, which I am considering doing if time / energy permits.

  6. Well hello Jonathon and welcome to Radarsite. Some light at the end of the tunnel perhaps?
    We'll keep our fingers crossed.
    Good luck!

  7. I've been looking for the source code for GOPHub, as it remains on my blogger template, and for the life of me I can't find the code in the template to remove it. This makes my blog load terribly slow, as it keeps on searching for, which, of course, no longer exists.

    Any suggestions?
