If this country has any hope...

A note from Radarsite: This is a powerful and inspiring post from Deb Hamilton's Right Truth. I love it's passion and clarity. And it's potent message to us all. Please continue reading the entire piece at Right Truth - rg

If a country has any hope for long-term survival, it must offer a unique identity for its citizens.
When Natan Sharansky speaks ... I listen. In this article, Sharansky talks about the fight against Islamic terrorists, Barack Obama, democracy and the survival of the West.

“There must be a serious punishment,” Sharansky says of the suicidal terrorists. First, the Israeli government should demolish the homes of suicidal terrorists, a tactic he describes as a “deterrence” that is “one of the most effective ways of social pressure” to thwart future acts.

Sharansky quickly qualifies this remedy as a “micro-therapy.”

The attacks of radical Islamics do not come in a vacuum, Sharansky posits.

He says the backers of the fundamentalist ideology that foments terror, Wahabism from Saudi Arabia, as well as the military sponsors of Hezbollah and Hamas (he names the Iranians and Syrians), need to pay a price for their support.

“I think one of the biggest failures, of shortsightedness, of all American administrations, Democratic and Republican alike, is their attitude toward Saudi Arabia,” he says. [snip]

Ditto what Mr. Sharansky says about dealing with terrorists and Saudi Arabia. Now to Obama:

“He is definitely a big concern for me,” he says. [snip]

Sharansky continues the train of thought: “It is very alarming for me the way Senator Obama voted, the way he spoke about his desire to negotiate with Ahmadinejad, and the way some of his advisers think.

On Iran:

“If Iran will not change, Israel will have to act. I think it will be very tragic if Israel has to act alone.”

  1. Each nation does what it must do in order to survive. The US is no exception. Nor is Israel. Nor is Great Britain.

If the Iranians keep up their rhetoric, Israel will attack. They will have no choice.

If Iran attacks Israel. Israel will destroy Iran.

If Iran attacks the US. The US will wipe them off of the face of the Earth (a few megatons should do it).

But no nation can sit idly by while others plan its demise. To do so is suicide.

  2. "But no nation can sit idly by while others plan its demise. To do so is suicide."
    Perfectly said Findalis.

  3. Our problem is that we are led by 'opportunistic chancers', too busy with press releases praising their own superior virtue and disguising their serial incompetence, all the while desperate to hide their true latent agendas, to be bothered with any such mundane details as actual leadership. They are shallow men and women, full of blind ambition, while lacking any insight or wisdom.

This is the place that the dumbing down of education in the name of equality has led us to.

The mind that is wrapped up in its own higher meaning, is lost to its very own inescapable narcissism, and will simply refuse to acknowledge any and everything which assails its delicate sensibilities, for to do so risks bringing the whole edifice of carefully constructed defenses, crashing down around that persons own space in a hostile world. Simply put, people in the West are too effete, and radical Islam knows this...hence, all our problems with an ideology that under normal circumstance would be a no hoper. But the obvious is too simple for those whose greatest fear is to be found out for what they are ... WEAK, and so they assail those who they know will not harm them, thereby appearing virtuous and strong in their own minds eye - voila, they are safe from discovery by their greatest enemy...the truth of themselves.

  4. Thanks for the mention Rodger.
