The Council for American-Islamic Relations' (CAIR) 14th Annual Banquet was underway tonight in Washington, D.C. Keith Ellison, the first Muslim Congressman to be sworn in, and to be sworn in on a Koran, as well, was a keynote speaker. His speech topic: Muslims and the Obama Administration.
The evening took an unexpected turn when two men walked on to the stage and had a private chat with Nihad Awad, CAIR's Executive Director, who was standing behind a speaker in the process of lauding Rosa Parks. During the chat, Awad was served a summons and complaint for himself personally, for CAIR and for a real estate holding.
The server was Dave Gaubatz, a private investigator, who also provided copies of the summons and complaint to each diner.
Below is video of Dave Gaubatz serving the summons thanks to Gates of Vienna and Center for Vigilant Freedom:

I've enjoyed the clip showing the serving of papers at the CAIR dinner. I've re-run it a few times.
ReplyDeleteI imagine CAIR's counter-complaint will be that it wasn't the 'kosher thing to do'?
