For the Good People

A note from Radarsite: At times I think that it's important to reevaluate what it is we are doing, or trying to do with these blogs of ours. Who are we really talking to? And what is our mission? What do we actually hope to accomplish? This, I feel, is one of those times when we should perhaps take a moment to step back and take a good look at ourselves. For this purpose I have resurrected this small essay on this subject of blogging and bloggers. I hope you feel that it is still pertinent. - rg

Bloggers (what an awful word!). Who are we and what do we do? And why on earth do we do it?
For most of us blogging certainly isn't a profession, but rather an obssession. Few of us I think are supporting families by the fruits of our blogs. So why, then, do we do it? The more we write about the plight of this great country of ours, or of our Western Civilization in general, the worse it seems to get. Why do we even bother?

For the good people. That's who we're writing for. The good people, who by their inattention are just letting these things happen aren't ignorant or even necessarily disinterested, they're just busy, consumed in their everyday battles of work and family. We all have friends like these, they're fine, intelligent people. They're generally optimistic people, who feel that somehow things will 'work themselves out' -- they always do. These good people spend an average of twenty minutes a week getting their news from a biased MSM. At the end of the day, what little time they have left they choose to spend with their families and their loved ones. They have neither the space nor the inclination in their hectic lives to study the koran, or to contemplate the inroads of Islam in Belgium. The good people of America are busy, busy with the business of making America great. They are what separate us from those lethargic socialistic failures across the seas.

The problem with this of course is that just being good isn't good enough. Being honest and hard-working and good just won't save them. There were a lot of good intelligent and industrious people in Germany in the Twenties and Thirties, who by their inattention, by their silence, allowed their country to be taken over by monsters and brought to ruin.

Our good people are just that: they are good, and we are not angry with them, they are our only hope. When we write, it's not to change the minds of any of those hardened libs -- that would be impossible -- but it's to try to reach these decent, hard-working folks who would care if they really understood the gravity of their situation. They are what keeps us going and gives us hope. They are not asleep, they do not need to be "awakened", they've been awake for hours. They've already got the kids off to school and are on their way to work. No, they do not need to be awakened, but they need to be convinced, convinced that they truly are in danger, that we truly are in a desperate war, a war that we absolutely must win.

And that, my fellow bloggers, as I see it, is our job and our duty.

  1. To me, blogging is like writing letters to the editor, but without word restrictions, editing and denial of publishing.

We get to speak our minds (so far) and often inform others, "the good people" of what they would otherwise miss by following lamestream media sources.

Do we make a difference? Sometimes.

The left has a headstart on us, but we on the right continue to grow and after four years of Hobama, hopefully the good people will open their eyes.

  2. I sometimes wonder if we bloggers are crying into the wind with no one listening to our voices.

As long as I am able to, I will speak my mind. If you don't like it, don't read it. But my voice will not be silenced.

  3. We fight because that's what we do. And if in the process we're able to open other's eyes to the danger, so much the better.
    But fight we must.

  4. Create a free account at Stat Counter, Findalis. Then create a project linked to your blog. After a few days, examine the visitor activity report. You'll probably discover that people scattered all over America and the world are reading your blog posts.

Schools, colleges, universities and government institutions; state, local, national and international are visiting Freedom Ain't free.

Most of the education related visitors are reading Snooper's post about making English the National Official Language.

Friday, one of my posts was read by someone at a U.S. Military Information Agency. Others have been read by the State Dept., U.N. H.Q. and French Foreign Ministry.

Visitors to one of my blogs are clicking through to download Qur'ans, Hadith & Tafsirs.

Some visitors are making others aware through emails and Digg, Sphere, Stumble Upon, etc.

Our blogs are the successors to the printing presses that published the pamphlets and broadsides that helped make our successful revolution possible.

"What's Wrong With Islam/Muslims?" has been viewed 109 times since September 10. Numbers for Oct., Nov. & Dec. are 20,37,49. That post is an outline containing links to the verses which sanctify, mandate & exemplify Jihad, genocide & terrorism. It includes a link to a pdf file which reproduces the full text of those verses.

That's education, on a small scale, but if each one teaches two, the effects will eventually cascade. That is the hope which propels our persistence.

  5. A good analogy is the football game where one team keeps running the ball even though they are not suceeding. Yet gradually they are wearing down the defense, and by the 4th quarter, the running game is working.

The blogosphere is replacing the msm. People are looking for an alternative. We cannot wait for some magical politician to come along and reestablish concervatism. We have to convince the readers that conservatism is the best way. That is what the blosgosphere is all about.
