For the Good People

Bloggers (what an awful word!). Who are we and what do we do? And why on earth do we do it?
For most of us blogging certainly isn't a profession, but rather an obssession. Few of us I think are supporting families by the fruits of our blogs. So why, then, do we do it? The more we write about the plight of this great country of ours, or of our Western Civilization in general, the worse it seems to get. Why do we even bother?

For the good people. That's who we're writing for. The good people, who by their inattention are just letting these things happen aren't ignorant or even necessarily disinterested, they're just busy, consumed in their everyday battles of work and family. We all have friends like these, they're fine, intelligent people. They're generally optimistic people, who feel that somehow things will 'work themselves out' -- they always do. These good people spend an average of twenty minutes a week getting their news from a biased MSM. At the end of the day, what little time they have left they choose to spend with their families and their loved ones. They have neither the space nor the inclination in their hectic lives to study the koran, or to contemplate the inroads of islam in Belgium. The good people of America are busy, busy with the business of making America great. They are what separate us from those lethargic socialistic failures across the seas.

The problem with this of course is that just being good isn't good enough. Being honest and hard-working and good just won't save them. There were a lot of good intelligent and industrious people in Germany in the Twenties and Thirties, who by their inattention, by their silence, allowed their country to be taken over by monsters and brought to ruin.

Our good people are just that: they are good, and we are not angry with them, they are our only hope. When we write, it's not to change the minds of any of those hardened libs -- that would be impossible -- but it's to try to reach these decent, hard-working folks who would care if they really understood the gravity of their situation. They are what keeps us going and gives us hope. They are not asleep, they do not need to be "awakened", they've been awake for hours. They've already got the kids off to school and are on their way to work. No, they do not need to be awakened, but they need to be convinced, convinced that they truly are in danger, that we truly are in a desperate war, a war that we absolutely must win.

And that, my fellow bloggers, as I see it, is our job and our duty.

  1. You are absolutely right about good people. The problem has always been that you have to get their attention before you can tell them anything. This is the media orientated world we live in. Between 1984-86 I had to ride a horse across America in order to give the public information about the pow/mias left behind in Vietnam. It worked. Millions of Americans now had facts that the media refused to give them. The response from the public was fantastic, once they understood the situation. there are millions of caring Americans that are kept in the dark by the media. I found a way to use the media against its self, by simply by-passing the major media and bring it to the hometown level.

You have to understand how the media works in this country and how to use them. This was in the days before the internet. Now its people like you that keep freedom ringing. I have started a blog at wordpress/ron8000 to tell the public what the fight for freedom was like as we crossed America. Who helped and who tried to undermine us. Keep up the good work, its takes fighters to win any battle.

  3. Ron is right about getting their attention before you can share anything. A catchy title, a snappy phrase, a shocking image....

But you are right, Roger, we do it because we are passionate about something, whether it's politics, terrorism, a hobby, whatever.

At Right Truth there are NO ads to click, no pop-ups to annoy, nothing to distract the reader from the message. I do this on purpose. I could sign up for ads and clutter the site and distract the readers, but I choose not do to that.

I simply share information, share my personal thoughts about that information, and allow visitors to express their views.

  5. We all agree that the Press is no longer objective in reporting facts and allow us to think it throught for ourselves. The Media, Talking heads, and pundits have evolved into a narcisstic sort of way by which they have appointed themselves the RULERS of our Minds ( not really true but that is their belif) and want us to follow thair agendas, liberal pregressive motives and plans and given little choice beteween candidates.. Vote for the One they are choosing for us.

Well I believe that We The People need to give tham a lesson, in a way it has begun wittness the severe drop in newspaper readership resulting in severe lay offs, and the decline of audiences for Network News and Cable news ... NOW WE need to Get the Message to Congress that we no longer will accept MEDIOCRE Partisan Dictated Performances and CLEAN the BARN...
Time to return to Small Government and Individual Thinking and Not Expect the Government to Correct decisions made via poor judgement...

  6. Such a great article Mr "rg" and a 'fits-right-in' commentary by ron800! (And yes, blogger is a horrible word! I would have suggested something shorter like "IC" for Internet Commentator.)
For the good people...oh are they so complacent, so naïve...me thinks! But I have a dream (something like that of MLK) that I will wake the day after the elections and "this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of it's creed..."

Have faith my friend. Have faith.
