Lowery Shows Racism in Inaugural Benediction

By Maggie M. Thornton

Rev. Dr. Joseph Lowery likes the spotlight and today he used it for everything it's worth - which in this case is the opportunity to speak directly to the entire nation.

Lowery, speaking just minutes after President Obama was sworn in, prayed for a day when:
"black will not be asked to get in back, when brown can sticks around, when the red man can get ahead, man; and when white will embrace what is right."
How do you feel about being prayed over in front of the entire Nation and World, asking that you and I, the "Whites" of this country, will "do what's right?"

Can you imagine praying in this manner for Blacks?

Is this what we have to look forward to from the Obama administration...hateful racist rhetoric about Whites, devoid of truth and designed for controversy?

All over the internet, bloggers are asking: Is the inaugural benediction racist? My answer: Hell Yes!

  3. One comment from me isn't enough for this one Maggie. This is a very important post. This is what we've all been talking about. This is that naked racism that was so thinly disguised in the Obama campaign. It was always there, only half of the country chose not to see it. Now it's too late.
Now the real racists are in charge of America.
