The Left's Answer to the Tea Party Movement Born Again America

You  might actually think you've entered another Patriot site, like a Tea Party, but think again. Born Again America is just a glossy imitation - a leftist tribute to the success of the Tea Party Movement. They are out to grab their share of very frustrated Americans.

You will be asked to sign a pledge on a nice parchment scroll where you can declare that "My President and my Congress report to me!"

Sounds good, right? The pledge even mentions our Nation's Declaration of Independence but not the Constitution nor the Bill of Rights. Imagine that?

You can take the next step and even learn about your freedoms from none other than that venerable lefty organization, People for the American Way.

Let your heart melt as you move to the great sounds of "Stand by Me." Just click on the video under Playing for Change.

Now that you are really mellowed out, click on About Us and listen to David Hernandez singing a special live version of our National Anthem produced by none other than "our founder" Normal Lear.

Oh and don't forget to "spread the word." They've even got an e-mail form where you can drag your unsuspecting friends and family members into their crafty little web.

That's how I found out about it.

A GREAT DECEPTION! IT IS AMAZING HOW INNOCENT IT APPEARS THEN YOU LOOK AT THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS, AND WHO SPONORS IT.

A Message from a Spaniard to the U.S.: Get Acquainted with Muslim Demographics (Video)

by Maggie at Maggie's Notebook

I recently posted on the Nigerian would-be bomber aboard Northwest Flight 253. In reply to that post was a comment here at  Radarsite on my cross-post. John Doebert is a Spaniard living in Spain and he has a message for America. We will do well to listen. Fitting perfectly with Mr. Doebert's comment is an important video on how Islam will defeat us all. See the video below.

Here is Doebert's first comment and a second follows:

I'm a spaniard who lives in Spain, Europe. Nevertheless, I feel and always felt very close to the US country, regardless of federal government or this or that particular policy.

For those not familiar with the local boundaries, let me tell you that Islam is right at our door, and that the whole Europe is infiltrated from within by the hundred of thousands muslims who, purportedly, want to live here and be like us, and really, want to destroy us.

And as they cannot do it openly by waging war against us, they have elected a much more subtle way: their women's wombs, changing our demography and gaining momentum by the sheer force of bigger population.

Using our legal systems, exploiting loopholes and shortcuts, they are being entitled with civil rights, right to vote, right to social money. That's right: we are paying the very same people who want to change our countries into a third world nasty cesspit. Now, Europe is lost. That much I'm afraid of.

A continent of cowards, losers, laidback old folks, without the guts to stand up and fight for its future against the islamic invasion. But you, USA, you got a future. You are the best experiment in mankind's history. A country founded from the scratch, no more than 250 years ago, with all your problems, you are still every person's hope.

So please wake up. OK, you've already have elected your official moron; but make it only one. In Spain, we have elected ours as well, but we have reoffended; we elected him for a second term, so he can betray us properly and put the final stake through our country's heart, everything in the name of tolerance and political correctness.

Please close your border to anyone not qualyfing in english language, non islamic faith and not capable of making a living on his or her own. You are being invaded in every possible way. You are the first and last hope of western civilization, and as such, you are in the greatest of dangers. Would you give your house's keys to the person who's gonna rat you?. Stand up and defend yourselves, great evil is coming, and is already here in Europe, specially in Spain and the like.
John Doebert's second comment after I asked for permission to post his message:
Regarding your idea of posting my comment in some other place, it's OK for me. I feel very grateful for your kindness. After all, I'm just a foreigner and some local in US could get upset about my speaking.

One final thought: I'm no average spaniard, make no mistake. People here are looking the other way, some trying to live their lives, some posturing as if anything happens, struggling to get food to the table, as economic situation is in shambles and worsening.

One cannot expect a high degree of awareness regarding any other thing than the basics when there's no job, no income, no future. I'm fortunate to have a job and to be able to invest some time in getting acquainted with national and international situation in most scenarios.

And islamic invasion is my main concern, as they are like termites. I think it was two years ago when a Palestinian mother showed in TV yelling and shouting that she was so proud that his son had blown himself up killing infidels. I was shocked to read an Israeli journalist commenting on the bomb blasts something like “as long as their hate for us is bigger than their love for their love ones, there's no solution". There you go: they treat themselves like they were all a mere walking canister for their bombs.

They want to be like us, and as they cannot (their Islamic system forbids it), they chose to destroy us.
BTW, very good job in the blog, keep it up; I’ve reading it for months.
Many of us see the threat and understand it, but are powerless to effectively fight it. Which reminds me of this important video. I'll hope you will take a minute to watch it - listen carefully, and then get busy propagating! Sadly, it isn't a joke.

Reaction to the Attack on the Danish Cartoonist

Cross-posted by Gary Fouse
fousesquawk

Kurt Westergaard

Kurt Westergaard, the Danish cartoonist for Jyllands-Posten who drew the cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed, has been living under a death threat ever since. On Friday night, an axe-wielding Somali man tried to break into his home in Aarhus shouting, "Revenge". Westergaard, who had his 5-year-old granddaughter with him on a sleepover, was able to alert the cops who arrived and shot the man.

This is how a 75-year-old Danish cartoonist has to live-in his own country.

A couple of points here. First of all, it is incomprehensible to me why a cartoonist has to live under a death threat over a bunch of silly cartoons. The reader will note that I have never put up any of those cartoons on my blog-not even as a statement of free speech or expression. The reason is that I would be offended as a Christian if Jesus Christ were portrayed in a disrespectful light-witness the Christ in a bottle of urine or Mary covered in cow dung. These so-called "works of art" offended Christians world-wide. However, there were no riots, no burning of embassies, no fatwas, no demands for prosecution, no killings-just peaceful expressions of disapproval. Had Muslims responded similarly, Westergaard might have been expected to apologize and refrain from further such cartoons. Case closed. But no. Here we have clerics all over the Muslim world demanding that Westergaard be prosecuted, killed or both.

The second issue is the one that is front and center in the minds of every Dane. Why did this Somali, who is already linked to Al-Qaeda and the Somali terrorist group Al Shabab, have a permit to live in Denmark? Now I know some will take this as a racist statement because Somalis are black and all that, but it needs to be said. The best place for Somalis is Somalia. This is without question, the worst excuse for a country in the world. Where do I start? Remember when they were starving and the US sent in food and troops to make sure the food got to the starving people? In return, we got Black Hawk Down and dead US servicemen dragged through the streets of Mogadishu. Today, they are still fighting each other and we have the Somali pirates wreaking their havoc. We also now have the Somali terrorist organization,
Al Shabab.

Nevertheless, our illustrious State Department and their counterparts in Europe decided that we needed to bring tens of thousands of Somalis to our countries as refugees. To date, we have taken in some 85,000 of them and settled them in places like Minneapolis, Colorado and Arizona.

The results have been catastrophic. First, it was Somali cab drivers in Minneapolis refusing to carry passengers who had alcohol. Then it was Somali grocery store clerks refusing to check out customers with pork. Then it was meat processing plant workers causing all kinds of ruckuses over prayer breaks. And that's just the small stuff.

Now we see Somali men disappearing from the US to join the Jihad back in Somalia. In St Paul, gangs of teen-age Somalis run wild on the streets attacking by-standers and passers by (see my posting, "Watch This" dated 12-19-09). Assimilation? Forget it.

Those who read my blog regularly know where I stand on immigration since I am married to an immigrant. As long as you come legally, obey our laws, respect our values and traditions and assimilate, I say, "welcome." And that goes for Somalis as well. I am perfectly willing to concede that many of the Somalis in this country are willing to do just that. Nevertheless, the question has to be asked; why are we having so many problems with Somalis in this country? The Danes and other Europeans are asking the same question.

Nevertheless, now more than ever, the US and other countries in the West have a duty to our own citizens (and legal, law-abiding immigrants)to exercise extreme caution in deciding who immigrates to this country. Just because a country like Somalia is a hell-hole, doesn't mean that we have to open our doors to its citizens-many of whom have helped make it a hell-hole. The time for importing problems into our country has to end.

And guess what. This has nothing to do with race. There are other countries in Africa and the Caribbean that have many deserving people who would love to come here and contribute to this country. I cannot say it any better than this reader, who commented on Rod Dreher's blog, Crunchy Con:

"Just out of curiosity, why was a Somali granted access to live in this country in the first place?

There are millions, no, make that tens of millions of people, in places like Mexico and Latin America, like the Philipines(sic) and Eastern Europe who would be happy to live in Denmark and would have no interest whatsoever in chopping up a cartoonist...

It's one thing to be bitten by a rabid dog but if you've actually invited it into your house, well....".

To that I would add that this phenomena we are experiencing is a black eye to the millions of decent immigrants who have sought out a better life here and in the West contributing in the process. They should not have to be stigmatized because our feckless government and the feckless European governments have rolled out the welcome mat to the riff-raff of the world.

As much as I support the War on Terror, eventually, we must come to the realization that we cannot solve all the world's problems and make the whole world in our image. If we are to fight overseas, it has to be in the interest of our own self defense. I am not much interested in the idea of "liberating people" from themselves if it involves our troops. In the case of Somalia, we tried to solve their problems and failed. It is time to leave the problems in Somalia and not import them here.

And if that makes me a racist in your eyes, sorry.

State Attorney Generals in 13 States Threaten Lawsuit Over Health Care

 by Maggie at Maggie's Notebook

Republican State Attorney Generals in 13 states are threatening a lawsuit over the proposed Senate Health Care legislation, if passed into law. Apparently, there are no Democrat State Attorney Generals concerned about the the unconstitutionality of the Bill.

Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi

A letter was sent to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid on Wednesday, December 30th. I can see them thumbing their collective progressive noses in unison:
The letter was signed by top prosecutors in Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Michigan, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Washington state. All are Republicans, and McMaster and the attorneys general of Florida, Michigan and Pennsylvania are running for governor in their respective states.
States are concerned that legislation was changed to garner the vote of, in particular, Nebraska's Senator Ben Nelson. In other words, Nelson's vote was bought, and taxpayers will pay $100 million dollars for the deal now known as the "Cornhusker kickback." In other words, taxpayers in states other than Nebraska will pay the deficit that Nebraska is now relieved of. More on Nelson here, and here.

Get this America, Professor Andy Siegel, at Seattle University School of Law, and formerly a professor at University of South Carolina School of Law, says this is:
...some combination of the losers just complaining about the officiating, or complaining about how the game was played, in combination with trying to make the bill look as seedy and inappropriate as possible, for political purposes,"
Academia proves over and over, everyday, that it is a institutional curse upon this Nation. A Nation of laws and the U.S. Constitution means nothing to law professors. Thank you to Stop the ACLU. Read their story here.

Ten 2009 Unforgettable and Unforgivable Issues out of Washington D.C.

by Maggie at Maggie’s Notebook

Last night at midnight, we left 2009 behind. Not one to carelessly wish away time, I nevertheless am ready to move into 2010. I’m anticipating a year of some hope and some change. To make that change come about, there are some things about 2009 that no serious conservative will ever forgive or forget.

Unforgettable – Unforgivable in 2009
Here’s my list of the 10 Unforgivable and Unforgettable in 2009. I have purposefully left out the Stimulus and the bailouts, as well as the amnesty for illegals coming our way. Amnesty is the single biggest and most dangerous issue facing America, and compared to it, all else pales. I hope you’ll add to this list in comments. Mine list is in no particular order of importance.

(1) The buying of Senate votes to pass Health Care on Christmas Eve, which Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK) characterized as “corruption, not compromise.” Unforgivable and Unforgettable.

(2) The 111th Congress in general, and specifically for allowing unread legislation to pass. Unforgivable. Senator Tom Coburn summed-it-up: “This Congress will be remembered for its arrogance, corruption and stupidity.” Unforgettable.

(3) Attorney General Eric Holder drops charges of voter intimidation in Philadelphia against the New Black Panthers. After the Black Panthers simply refused to show up in court, the government won a default judgment – which Holder promptly nullified. Unforgettable and Unforgivable.

(4) Obama stands behind Kevin Jennings as his Safe Schools Czar. Unforgettable and Unforgivable.

(5) The administration’s refusal to call the Ft. Hood murders, terrorism and specifically Islamic terrorism, and actually withhold information on the murders from the investigative body of Congress. Unforgettable and Unforgivable.

(6) The constant and completely unsubstantiated charge from Democrats that Republicans “have no ideas.”

(7) The continued, and shameful, support of ACORN from the White House

(8) The illegal firing of Inspector General, Gerald Walpin, by the White House, and then the ordering of related document shredding, also by the White House. This firing came about because Walpin’s report showed that AmeriCorp has fraudulently misused $75 million in government funds, and also showed that Obama’s close friend and donor, Kevin Johnson, former NBA star and currently Sacramento Mayor, was involved. Walpin was cleared of all wrong doing and wants his job back. Unforgettable and Unforgivable.
(9) Coming legislation to bailout newspapers.

(10) The confiscating of our personal health care records by the government, under the guise of providing more accuracy and safety for the patient. We all know that to the government, nothing is sacred. We will rue the day this happens.

None of the above would have been possible with even moderate media scrutiny. The ongoing media blackout, as outlined below, has left this country reeling. We can no longer depend on the ballot box to make our voices heard, UNLESS we vote in much bigger numbers than ‘they’ vote. The press will encourage and use ACORN to bring about the Leftist agenda. We must be ‘gutterally’ smarter than they.
(a) The War on Terror, including the indecent silence on radical Islam;
(b) The unread legislation, including the Stimulus Bill and Health Care;
(c) The subverting of private industry jobs to newly created government jobs giving the Obama administration massive growth in…government;
(d) The refusal to explore both sides of climate change and global warming, and then finally, the refusal to report the ClimateGate scandal;
(e) The refusal to report on Barack Obama’s unknown life: his college records, the name used on applications, the passport he traveled with as a college student, and of course, the refusal to force his birth certificate, or the lack of one, up and out of the abyss;
(f) The lack of a truthful look at Henry Paulson’s role in the economic meltdown in September 2008. Remember the “emergency meeting” between Paulson, Bernake and top Congressional members, when Paulson told Congress without passing the $700 billion bailout “tomorrow, we won’t have an economy on Monday.”
Remember President Bush standing, with Paulson looming over him, addressing the Nation about the coming economic disaster? We know now that a bailout was inherently wrong. Most of us knew it at the time, but coming in September 2008, Paulson single-handedly gave the Oval Office to Barack Obama. In my opinion, it was a conspiracy – and it worked.
Had the media done it’s job, and simply reported what was widely-known and questioned, regardless of the end result, and let the readers make the judgment, Barack Obama would not be in office today.

Kill the Protesters!

By Findalis of Monkey in the Middle

That is the cry from Ayatollah Mehyaddin Haeri Shirazi on Iran Television recently in a live interview.  (View it here.)
In a live interview broadcast on the Islamic Republic's national television station sometime within the last two weeks, Ayatollah Mehyaddin Haeri Shirazi described a Communist protest movement from the early years of the Islamic Republic, noting how it was effectively crushed by the authorities. The government targeted opposition activists, he said, "arrested them in the afternoon and the same night announced the names of 30 people killed or executed by the government forces."

In reaction to the arrests and killings, Shirazi continued, "nothing happened. Why? Because they killed them."

Expanding on what he sees as the lesson from those events, the ayatollah said,"The more of them [the opposition] are killed, the more beneficial [to the people]. If the armed forces kill some of them, it is to our benefit."

On the other hand, Shirazi continued, "When they are arrested, it is bad [for public opinion], when they are captured [it is bad for public opinion]. Do not make victims out of them."

Killing the opposition protesters, the ayatollah insists, "is sanctioned by obedience to Allah and the prophet and is handed down to the Supreme Leader [Ayatollah Khamenei]. When it is sanctioned by such a power, there is no need to go through the government powers."

Shirazi warned the opposition forces, "Do not look upon the Supreme Leader [simply] as a person with a soft turban on his head, and that you can beat him. His support comes from the Hidden Imam Mahdi, he [Khamenei] is made of iron. It will come back down to break your own heads."

Perhaps in reaction to the increasing levels of violence by government forces, on December 26 a previously unknown anti-regime group calling itself the National Iranian Armed Resistance Forces (NIRU) "declare our readiness to rise to the armed defense of our nation against the forces of the criminal, illegitimate, transgressing and occupying current Government of Iran...." The group "accuses the current government and the leader of the Islamic Revolution, Mr. Sayyed Ali Khamenei of legal transgressions and high treason of nation and homeland."

NIRU claims to be made up of "a number of officers, soldiers and personnel of the armed forces", calling for "support" and "cover... in this moral and nationalist act" from "our brothers and sisters serving with the armed security forces of Iran...."

Iranian pro-democracy activists in contact with Israel National News said they are hesitant to believe in the authenticity of the organization until there is some external evidence of its activities beyond email and Web postings.

The first of two NIRU communiques, headed with praise for the Islamic god Allah, explained: "In accordance with the regulations of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, we are commissioned to protect the lives, properties and honor of our nation, and defend our sacred soil, as well as combat all occupying forces within the borders of the land. Any failure in carrying out this duty is considered a betrayal of nation and oath. According to the constitution, the defense of the rights of the nation of Iran, and avoidance of the collapse of the country takes precedence over protection of the ruling regime."

The group announced "the initiation of Operation Azadi ('Freedom')," which they said will end upon "unconditional surrender of the occupying government and leadership." The operation, the NIRU communique said, will involve taking control of military bases, taking over government buildings, arrest of "government-supporting agents within your units", "seizing... military and public communication facilities, as well as other news media", "combat mission[s] at the regional level, and expanding", and more.

Ayatollah Mehyaddin Haeri Shirazi has a wonderful nickname in Iran:  Land Thief.  For he has stolen thousands of acres of land in Shiraz and became a billionaire doing it.  So he is scared of what will happen to him if Ahmadinejad and the Mullahs are overthrown.

If the National Iranian Armed Resistance Forces (NIAR) is an actual group of resistane and not a front group set up by the Iranian government to destroy the Green Revolution, then it brings a whole new dynami to the Iranian equation.  For then the world will have an Iran in a very bloody civil war. Waged on one side by the Mullahs and the Revolutionary Guard, on the other side by the Protesters and the regular army.

The side that is victorious in this will become stronger than ever, the losers will be executed.  Thus is the way with despots.

Now is the time for the leaders of the Free World to speak up and be heard.  To speak words of encouragement to the people of Iran longing for Freedom, Justice and Liberty.  For the people of Iran who wish to throw off the tyrant who has destroyed their nation (physically and spiritually).  And still, President Obama says nothing.  His silence on this is deafening.

This is not the time to be silent Mr. President.  It is the time for you to stand up and speak to the people of Iran.  Not the Mullahs or Ahmadinejad.  The people who are fighting for the Freedom and Liberty that you take for granted.

The Iranin government has rejected your hand of friendship.  Now is the time for you to end your vacation, and become the Leader of the Free World.  If you fail on this, and the people of Iran are resubjegated into the slavery and despair that they have lived under these last 30 years, the verdict of history will be damning of you.  Your legacy will be one of incompetence and stupidity.  You will have shown the world that you are nothing more than a 2-bit street hustler who made it big!

Mayo Clinic Arizona Drops Medicare! Happy New Year Seniors!

by Maggie at Maggie’s Notebook

Happy New Year Seniors! A little prezzy from the Prez: Medicare patients have been kicked out of the Mayo Clinic’s Glendale, Arizona facility. It’s a happy, happy day for the Obamas. They are soon to hold your health care in their sweaty, greedy, grabby hands and they can't wait.

“No Medicare patients” beginning today, at the Mayo Glendale facility (a suburb of Phoenix). This is a two-year-trial-run. About 3,200 patients are affected. Needless to say, the Glendale area is rife with retirees:
Obama in June cited the nonprofit Rochester, Minnesota-based Mayo Clinic and the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio for offering “the highest quality care at costs well below the national norm.” Mayo’s move to drop Medicare patients may be copied by family doctors, some of whom have stopped accepting new patients from the program, said Lori Heim, president of the American Academy of Family Physicians, in a telephone interview yesterday….
Mayo’s hospital and four clinics in Arizona, including the Glendale facility, lost $120 million on Medicare patients last year, Yardley said. The program’s payments cover about 50 percent of the cost of treating elderly primary-care patients at the Glendale clinic, he said.
If you are now on Medicare, but want to continue to be treated at Mayo-Glendale, here is what they have planned for you:
A Medicare patient who chooses to stay at Mayo’s Glendale clinic will pay about $1,500 a year for an annual physical and three other doctor visits, according to an October letter from the facility. Each patient also will be assessed a $250 annual administrative fee, according to the letter. Medicare patients at the Glendale clinic won’t be allowed to switch to a primary care doctor at another Mayo facility.
A few hundred of the clinic’s Medicare patients have decided to pay cash to continue seeing their primary care doctors, Yardley said. Mayo is helping other patients find new physicians who will accept Medicare.
Mayo’s decision may herald similar moves by other Phoenix- area doctors …“We’ve got doctors who are saying we are not going to deal with Medicare patients in the hospital” because they consider the fees too low, Rivers said. “Or they are saying we are not going to take new ones in our practice.”
DoctorRX at Naked Capitalism says the following about Medicare patients paying cash and receiving treatment (referring to the same article I have quoted above):
Despite what the article says, It’s not easy under the regs to just charge cash. So I’m not sure what Mayo is referring to. Basically a physician has to drop out of being a Medicare provider in toto in order to then charge freely. Once out, I think you’re out for a whole year (at least). And that includes seeing a patient in hospital who’s a Medicare patient (Medicare “A” covers essentially all Medicare patients). So for a whole year the doctor has to only treat outpatients and have nothing to do with Medicare. Not easy. Especially if Glendale has an elderly population.
Obama’s health care plan is not yet law, but he has his ball rollin’ anyway.
