Herman Cain's Intelligent Thinkers Movement: Where's the Defending Fathers?

"We the people" get one day every two years to change Congress - Election Day. We get three days every six years to change one-third of the Senate. And we get one day every four years to change presidents.

The rest of the time the people's influence is pimped by silly and self-serving polls,...

Herman Cain is one of the fiesty "talkers" that says what he means and means what he says. He says he is starting a new initiative to Take our Country Back, and he's willing to do far fewer opinion columns to make this new grassroots initiative work.

So one more initiative. Well, that's okay by me because I believe Herman Cain will work it and work it hard.

I was energized when I read that Herman Cain reiterated his support of the Fair Tax. Now that's intelligent thinking, and not does this initiative include passage of the Fair Tax, but also "no new or higher taxes."

Here are a few details:

The name:
The Intelligent Thinkers Movement (HITM - Herman's Intelligent Thinkers Movement) or (hermanator's Intelligent Thinker Movement).

What HITM is not: .
This is NOT a republican, democrat, libertarian, conservative, liberal, or progressives movement. This is a “we the people” movement.

I understand that this is a "we the people" movement, but I doubt we'll get much help from liberals or progressives.

KEY ISSUES (NEET):
National Security, Economy, Energy Independence, Tsunami Spending,
Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness

I would like to see the letter "T" in the acronym, specifically for taxes - maybe make it NEETS. Let the "T" stand for taxes, and an "S" for spending.

Few legislative proposals move through Congress “clean”. They are usually a hodgepodge of proposals attached to major proposals using a procedural mechanism called earmarks. “We the people” never hear about most of these until after the fact, because they can not be easily explained in a media sound-bite.

This is why bad laws continue to get passed and federal spending has only an upward momentum.

I like the idea of legislative alerts that pertain only to the issues: homeland security, the economy, energy and government spending. Again, I would like to see the letter "T" in the acronym specifically for taxes.

I have been swamped by alerts that seem hopeless to keep up with. Perhaps this will tame the tiger and give better and more focused direction.

A part of this Movement is:

The fight against Islamic Fascism is global. Fight it wherever it is a threat to the United States of America. Let our intelligence agencies do their jobs

And to accomplish this:

A strong military – Defense spending should be used more effectively, but never cut below 4% of GDP.

Here is Cain's assessment of why he thinks we have a chance to Take Our Country Back:

We don’t need all 306 million citizens to be successful. We only need 100,000 voters per Congressional district for them to “see the light”.

The voice of “we the people” has been hijacked by partisan politics, government bureaucrats and the influence of money on elections and legislation. To take back our government, we must be able to un-elect members of Congress on a timely basis, and dramatically influence their decisions while they are in office.

Because of the proliferation of biased media reporting, gullible voters and too many in Congress who willingly and intentionally mislead the public, “we the people” must be able to provide succinct and intelligent feedback to specific members of Congress frequently and persistently. Then, we can hold them accountable intelligently at election time, which is our only leverage for holding their feet to the fire.

Cain says that "the Founding Fathers did their job. They founded this nation. And most of us have benefited from the constitutional architecture they created." A caller to his radio show asked: "Where are the Defending Fathers?" My answer is that we have none. What we have are Democrats in both Houses defending against our Constitution, and that makes this a perilous time in America's history.

LOS ANGELES (JTA) — Police in California are investigating as hate crimes the posting of anti-Israel and pro-Hamas placards at two synagogues.

Three letter-sized, hand-written signs were discovered Tuesday at Beth Jacob, an Orthodox congregation in Irvine, Calif. One poster proclaimed, “Gaza– The New Shoah” and a second read, “Hamas Recognizes Israeli Genocide.”

Similar posters were found on the same day at the nearby Reform Congregation Shir Ha-Ma’alot.

Kevin O’Grady, Orange County regional director for the Anti-Defamation League, condemned the “targeting of temples to express anger toward Israeli action in Gaza.”

More Change-Bill Richardson Withdraws

Bill Richardson- Can you find the Change?


In yet another example of the "Change" that Barack Obama is bringing to Washington, New Mexico Governor and Commerce Secretary-designate Bill Richardson has withdrawn his name from nomination, a move Obama accepted with the usual "regret".

The reason that Richardson is withdrawing? It is due to an on-going grand jury investigation into a "pay for play" arrangement (where have we heard that before?) whereby a California-based company, CDR Financial Products, received a huge contract with the New Mexico Finance Authority coupled with campaign contributions to two of Richardson's "organizations".

Change.

Richardson insists that he did nothing wrong and stated that he will remain governor of New Mexico "for now" (no change).

According to an NBC report, CDR reportedly made $1.48 million advising the New Mexico Finance Authority on interest-rate swaps and refinancing of funds connected to $1.6 billion in transportation bonds issued by the agency, which has been confirmed by state officials. Reportedly, the firm and its president, David Rubin contributed $100,000 to two Richardson organizations just prior to winning the contract. The Grand Jury is investigating whether Richardson put pressure on the state agency to give the contract to CDR.

Change we can believe in.

In addition, CDR's attorney, Richard Beckler, was questioned about the investigation by Washington Post reporters over the telephone on December 15 and made only this statement:

"CDR has always tried to abide by these byzantine campaign finance regulations and is cooperating fully with this investigation."

Byzantine? Change?

Oh, yee suckers.

Pro-Hamas Demonstration in Ft Lauderdale

In addition, there were placards reading, "Nuke Israel"

Why has this not received the attention of the mainstream media and been reported all over the country? Why is it that we have to depend on bloggers and private citizens to put up on the Internet what the msm prefers to bury?

Where is CAIR, and why are they not chastizing those in the crowd who yelled such shocking things at our Jewish citizens?

Ground War

After a week of precision bombing by the IAF led to the shelling last night of Northern Gaza. This evening forces of the IDF entered Gaza. Their objective is to take control of the area where the majority of rockets are being fired from. The same area which Israel left in 2005.

Under International Law Gaza is no longer to be considered occupied (go tell that to the Moonbats on the left and the MSM)as Israel does not exercise effective control or authority over any land or institutions in the Gaza Strip. The fourth section of The Hague convention of 1907, Article 42 defines occupation as:

Territory is considered occupied when it is actually placed under the authority of the hostile army.

The occupation extends only to the territory where such authority has been established and can be exercised.

Israel relinquished all control over Gaza in 2005. It was also given assurance by President Bush and leaders of the Palestinian Authority that there would be no further attacks made on Israel.

So much for assurances by leaders. The rocket attacks into Israel not only continued, but intensified to the point that even the boneheads in Jerusalem, the Kadima led government, could not ignore the suffering in Sderot, Ashkelon, Ashdod and the Western Negev. Thus the start of Operation Cast Lead a week ago and now the ground operation that has started.

For the first time since the start of Operation Cast Lead, the IDF sent ground troops into the Gaza Strip on Saturday evening.

The IDF said that the purpose of the ground operation was to eliminate launching pads in northern Gaza from which specific long-range rockets had been fired into southern Israel.

Large forces from the army's infantry, tanks and artillery units are among those participating in the mission.

Several hours earlier, the army began to fire artillery shells into the northern part of the Strip.

According to reports, the artillery units were attacking targets in northern Gaza from where Palestinian terrorists had been firing rockets at southern Israel.

Warplanes, gunboats and artillery units blasted more than 40 Hamas targets throughout Saturday, including Hamas's central intelligence headquarters in Sha'ati, weapons storage facilities, training centers and Hamas leaders' homes.

The objective is very simple, not the complete take over of the Gaza Strip, but the elimination of the launch pads from Gaza.

The IAF also hit the home of senior Hamas commander Abu Zacharia Al-Jamal. A Hamas spokesman announced that al-Jamal was killed in the attack, which would make him the third senior operative in the group to be targeted in the past three days.

In addition, Palestinians reported four dead in an IAF strike in the Rafah area.

Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni told Channel 2 Saturday night, "We will do all that is necessary to provide a different reality for southern Israel, which has been under constant attacks for the past eight years."

In Saturday morning attacks, the army struck the homes of two Hamas operatives, saying the buildings were used to store weapons and plan attacks. Hamas outposts, training camps and rocket launching sites also were targeted, it said.

3 senior officials in as many days. Already Hamas is boasting that they killed an Israeli soldier, but reports from the field show that fighting is light to moderate with the IDF losing no men. It seems that Hamas is waiting, biding its time, choosing the place it will actually fight, praying that the idiots liberals on the left will scream loudly for them and they will survive. That is all they can pray for right now, is to survive as a group in Gaza.

Hamas has boasted in the last week that they will fight as soon as troops entered Gaza. That every man, woman, and child will give up their lives for Hamas. And that the world will force Israel to leave.

So far they haven't come out to fight. We don't see thousands of Gazans blowing themselves up. And the world is on vacation until Monday.

What happens in the next 48 hours is critical. If Israel can achieve their objective by then, then a clear victory will have been made. If the world starts to demand a withdrawal, will Israel listen? Will the US have the balls to veto such a request? Will Hamas survive this latest assault?

The nation of Israel holds its breath, waiting to see what Hamas' and the World's response will be.

Israel-The New Czechoslovakia

In the wake of Israel's bombardment of Gaza, massive protests have broken out not only in the Middle East, but across Europe as well. Of course, there were no prior protests against the rockets being launched from Gaza into civilian areas of Israel, but that was to be expected. A large part of the protesters are Arab and Muslim immigrants to the European nations. Why is it that we don't see any protests in favor of Israel taking place in Europe? The answers are fairly obvious.

First of all, as I have pointed out previously, the European nations are afraid. They are afraid of their large Muslim populations, which have shown themselves to be nothing if not volatile. Witness the UK, Netherlands, France, Denmark, etc. Secondly, the Europeans are keenly aware that their overseas citizens, missions and interests are subject to attack by terrorists.

Finally, the Europeans are afraid of having all that Middle East oil cut off.

And what do the Europeans have to fear from Israel, Jews in general or their own Jewish citizens in particular?

Nothing. No riots, no terrorist attacks, no oil cutoffs. In fact, these countries don't even have much of a Jewish population to begin with. Remember the Holocaust? That pretty much eliminated that consideration. In fact, what Jewish populations they do have are pretty much hunkered down rather than try to counterbalance the anti-Israel mobs with their own demonstrations as we can still do in the US.

A Spanish writer, whose name escapes me, recently wrote an article that appeared on the Internet. He bemoaned the fact that his country, like so many others in Europe, had over time pretty much eliminated its Jewish population, which had contributed so much in the sciences, arts and culture and replaced it with a population that was contributing nothing but unrest, hatred and violence. I have to agree. Europe has pretty much made its bed over the past couple of generations. Now they have to lie down in it. As a result, what we see are massive, sometimes violent protests on the streets of European cities all aimed against tiny Israel. Europeans always wring their hands and call for immediate cease fires as soon as Israel defends itself against the murderous forces of Hamas and Hizbollah. It has nothing to do with right or wrong or morality. It has everything to do with that trait that Europeans are famous for-practicality. To Europe, Israel is the "inconvenient country" and Jews in general are the "inconvenient people". How dare they defend themselves against those noble Palestinians (who really are victims of themselves, their leaders and surrounding Arab nations)?

In reality, the Europeans are prisoners of their own demographics, which, if the present trend continues, will make that continent majority Muslim in two generations. When that happens, Europe will be what it was in 1940; a continent of hate-and once again, a place where Jews are not safe-as if they are safe now.

It saddens me to say these things about Europe, a place with which I am intimately familiar and a place which I love. It has to be said, however. A new wave of Nazism is growing in Europe. It is called militant-Islam. The question is how will the Europeans deal with it? Up to now, they are dealing with it the same way Britain and France dealt with it in 1938 at Munich when they threw Czechoslovakia to the wolves of Nazi Germany.

Today, Israel is the new Czechoslovakia.

Not An Ordinary Palestinian Youngster

Mosab Hassan Yousef, the son of one of the group's founding members has renounced Islam, Hamas and all that is associated with it.

Yousef, son of Sheikh Hassan Yousef, is openly condemning Hamas (a group he once willingly belonged to) and speaking out against the terror that Hamas is and has been doing against Israel.

"There is no chance. Is there any chance for fire to co-exist with the water?" said Mosab Hassan Yousef, the son of one of the group's founding members.

Yousef added: "It's not about Israel, it's not about Hamas: it's about both ideologies."

What brought him to this point? What was the driving force behind this change of heart?

Yousef said he was indoctrinated at an early age to use violence to challenge Israeli control in the region. As a teenager he moved up within the organization and became the leader of the radical Islamic Youth Movement that fought Israeli tanks and troops in the streets, celebrated suicide bombings and recruited young men to the cause.

Yousef, 30, said he realized the true nature of Hamas and radical Islam during a stint in an Israeli prison. He renounced his Muslim faith, left his family behind in Ramallah and converted to Christianity.

"Islam is not the word of God," said Yousef. "If you want to be offended it's your problem. But you know something? Go study. Think for a second that I might be right. So wake up, look at your path, see where you're going. Are you really going to heaven with 72 virgins after you kill yourself and kill another 20 people?"

Yousef has sought asylum in the United States and now attends an evangelical Christian church in San Diego, Calif.

"The Hamas leadership, including my father, they're responsible; they're responsible for all the violence that happened from the organization. I know they describe it as reaction to Israeli aggression, but still, they are part of it and they had to make decisions in those operations against Israel (for) which there was the killing of many civilians."

They are part of it was his direct quote. This and the rest of the interview with Yousef will be seen on Fox News' Escape from Hamas which airs Sat at 10p, with repeats at 1am and 4a, EST, and Sun at 9pm, with repeats at 12 midnight, 2am, EST.

Profiled Based on Their Appearance?

When a traditionally-dressed Muslim family was removed from an AirTran flight last Thursday, it provided another opportunity for Muslim advocacy groups to claim profiling based on perceived race, religion or national origin. Was it a set-up?

Last Thursday a traditionally-dressed Muslim family, consisting of 9 members, was ordered off an AirTran flight to Orlando Florida after passengers overheard them talking about flight safety. The incident happened at Reagan National Airport just outside Washington, D.C.

Shortly after boarding the plane, and as they were walking through the plane, two family members began debating the safest place to sit on the plane. One of the female family members said:

“Yes, I guess it makes sense not to be close to the engine in case something happens.”

The rest is old-hat; a very repetitive scene. Two air marshals escorted the family members off the plane and the rest of the passengers were removed from the plane. The FBI interrogated the family and found them to be without suspicion. The airline issued an apology and paid for their tickets on another airline to get the family to their destination. The Muslim Public Affairs Council and Council for American-Islamic Relations issued their typical complaint with the U.S. Department of Transportation saying:

“It is incumbent on any airline to ensure that members of the traveling public are not singled out or mistreated based on their perceived race, religion or national origin.”

As soon as I read the initial story it became obvious that this incident appears to be the latest holiday “profiling” test by Muslim advocacy groups in their continuing war against the airline industry. The set-up was pretty obvious from the start.

9 traditionally-dressed Muslims boarding a plane as a group in this post 9/11 world is bound to attract attention. People are going to look and people are going to listen. But if the Muslim family had been speaking in Arabic most of the passengers would have been oblivious as to the content of the conversation.

I can just imagine a joint Muslim Public Affairs Council and Council for American-Islamic Relations planning session:

MPAC planner: To attract attention, we need a large group of Muslims to board the plane.

CAIR planner: And they would have to be traditionally-dressed to heighten the suspicion factor.

MPAC planner: Yes, but they can’t be all males. That’s too threatening. Remember, that when they are pulled off the plane, they have to be found to be above suspicion. Nothing they actually say or do can be suspicious.

CAIR planner: How about a family?

MPAC planner: Yes a family sounds good but they should be a native-born American family. We want them speaking in English so the passengers will overhear their conversation.

CAIR planner: And we want the family to have a little prestige. How about a doctor or a lawyer and their families?

MPAC planner: Yea that sounds good but several family members all traveling together on one plane? There has to be a good reason like a vacation.

CAIR planner: Yea but what are the odds that all the family members will be traditionally-dressed given that some would be native-born Americans who have become westernized; at least in dress?

MPAC planner: I’ve got it! The family should be going to a religious retreat so naturally they would all dress traditionally.

CAIR planner: That’s great! Ok now what are they going to say?

MPAC planner: It has to be something very innocent; something any passenger might say in passing.

CAIR planner: Well it has to raise suspicion!

MPAC planner: How about a general discussion about seating and the safest place on the plane?

CAIR planner: Well that sounds good but what if nobody hears them? They can’t be too loud or appear to be deliberately attracting suspicion.

 MPAC planner: I’ve got it. They’ll have this discussion while walking back to their seats so that the maximum number of seated passengers will hear the discussion.

 CAIR planner: Wow! Now this is shaping up to be the perfect anti-profiling storm!

Of course the above imaginary scenario probably didn’t happen, but I don’t imagine that there’s any law prohibiting advocacy groups from devising similar tests against profiling. Somewhere a line has to be drawn between profiling due to “perceived race, religion or national origin” and the common sense of profiling common terroristic characteristics for passenger safety. After all, profiling usually does include race, religion and national origin.

Now if Muslim advocacy groups, such as the Council and Council for American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), would spend as much time and money denouncing their ties to radical Islam, we might see this scenario in a different light. We might actually believe that their anti-profiling motives were pure. Until then, expect more of the same from those who have ulterior motives and agendas!

Perhaps airlines will be driven to issue new rules and regulations prohibiting any discussion of airlines, or airline safety once a passenger has entered the terminal?

Of course people can get around such a rule. Human nature always has a way of getting around most arbitrary rules.

If we don’t come to our common senses, I can foresee a day when all passengers will be forced to don a mummification garb that completely disguises their identity and all passengers will be locked into their seats forbidden to do anything more that breathe.

The CAIR Petition

Today, I visited the website of the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR). There is the usual drivel about how Muslims in America are being discriminated against. Of course, there is an article announcing that they have filed a complaint with the Dept. of Transportation over the Muslim family that was taken off a flight over statements they were overheard making on board that passengers reported to the airline.

As for the conflict in the Middle East, CAIR is announcing a petition drive aiming for a million signatures. Here is the petition statement:


"We, the undersigned people of conscience who respect international law and the sanctity of human life, urge you to speak out for peace and justice for all parties in the Middle East crisis.

“We are concerned that the current violence and ongoing humanitarian crisis is further eroding America's international image. For this reason, a strong, balanced stance from you that is aimed at fostering an enduring peace is vital.

“Unfortunately, all parties in the Middle East conflict have committed violence against civilians. We unequivocally condemn all of these actions.

“The European Union (EU), Russia, the UN Secretary-General, the Arab League, the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), and other international bodies are all urging Israel to end it (sic) attacks.

“Middle East Envoy Tony Blair deplored the "tragic of loss of life," while French President Nicolas Sarkozy condemned Israel's "disproportionate use of force."

“EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana said the Israeli attacks were "inflicting an unacceptable toll on Palestinian civilians and will only worsen the humanitarian crisis as well as complicate the search for a peaceful solution."

“Unfortunately, our nation's one-sided response to this tragic episode will only serve to fuel anti-American sentiments in the Muslim world and beyond.

“We therefore call on you to demonstrate your commitment to changing our nation's current one-sided Mideast policy by speaking out now in favor of peace and justice for all parties to this decades-long conflict.”


Sounds good, right? Peace and justice for all in the current conflict. Who could argue with that? Yet, just as CAIR reacted in the Mumbai incident, in a carefully-crafted statement, they refuse to even acknowledge the rockets that Hamas rained down on Israel. Notice the sentences above that single out Israel for condemnation. In all, there are three references to Israel and its "objectionable" acts, but nowhere does the word "Hamas" appear. Nowhere is there any mention of rocket attacks hitting civilian targets. Nowhere does Hamas mention the fact that Hamas has deliberately set up its operation centers, rocket launchers and ammunition stockpiles in the middle of civilian sites such as schools, residences and hospitals.

It is all about "stopping Israel", not stopping Hamas. Why is this? Is it because, as always, CAIR will take the Muslim side? Is it because CAIR is allied with Hamas-as has been often charged?

And why is this conflict eroding America's image? Is it because President George Bush is putting the blame squarely where it belongs-on Hamas? Is it because we are not rushing to impose a cease-fire that will restrain Israel while Hamas resumes its rocket attacks.

To tell you the truth, if America sits back and lets Israel obliterate Hamas, I don't care if this "erodes our image" with the Arab/Muslim world, Europe or anywhere else.

Those phony "moderates" at CAIR need to wake up to a simple fact. America and the majority of the American people are sympathetic to Israel. Most of us detest and mock terrorists who target the innocent because they cannot stand and defeat Israel army to army-even though they have a huge population advantage.

These people at CAIR take great pains to depict themselves as "moderates". In actuality, they are propagandists and apologists for international terrorism.

Without Support, What Happens to Israel?

By stark contrast, Republicans, as one would expect (in light of their history of supporting virtually any proposed attack on Arabs and Muslims), overwhelmingly support the Israeli bombing campaign (62-27%).

He laments that Democrat leadership is in lockstep with Republican leadership, on the side of Israel, while leaving "one half of the citizenry without no real voice." He believes the policy on Israel is the ONLY "position where:"

(a) a party's voters overwhelmingly embrace one position (Israel should not have attacked Gaza) but...

(b) that party's leadership unanimously embraces the exact opposite position (Israel was absolutely right to attack Gaza and the U.S. must support Israel unequivocally)?

Does that happen with any other issue?

Well, yes it does. How about drilling and energy independence, which Americans overwhelmingly support but Democrat leadership eschews? How about bailouts which Americans overwhelmingly disapprove of but Democrat leadership has decided to ram through, one way or the other. How about federal tax increases, which Americans overwhelmingly and vehemently do not want, but Democrats in Congress are hell-bent to enact. How about illegal immigration and amnesty, which Americans are solidly against, but Democrats in Congress are willing to sneak legislation into Bills that no one takes the time to read, to do the bidding of their illegal constituents?

I'll point out that we do not get to vote on the above issues, and polls are often willingly fraudulent. So you can call me wrong on the issues, but the world, as Greenwald claims, doesn't vote either. If the people had a voice, the world would be astonished at the conservative and freedom-loving and freedom-protecting opinions around the globe. Need I mention that the voices that make it to print are often the voices of the media.

Greenwald offers links to these world opinions, but to be sure, he ignores the guarded and middle of the road voices:

From Europe, they warned of "provoking a humanitarian crises," and the author characterized the warning as "sharp." The PM of Finland demanded the release of Israel's recently abducted soldier and the 64 Hamas parliamentarians arrested by Israeli troops AND he "insisted that Palestinians end the shelling of Israeli territory from within the Gaza Strip." An EU spokesman condemned the "disproportionate use of force by Israel, but the truth is, the EU voted against the UN Human Rights Council on sending an investigative team to look into alleged violations by Israel.

Now here's a real gem:

The criticisms of Israel came as a poll showed that four out of five Israelis want their government to assassinate Hamas leaders to end the Gaza crisis.

Tsk, tsk, tsk. Does any country in the EU have a next door neighbor plotting to eliminate them?

In the Asian link, with the Islamic Republic News Agency reporting,"China is shocked by the human tragedy," in Gaza. This should be one of the "oddities" Greenwald is addressing, but he prefers to blast the U.S. for supporting an ally and the Middle East's only democracy.

If China can be "shocked" by "human" tragedies of any kind, it would be only the happy event of their own dictators being called to task. Did I mention that China was meeting with Iran when the condemnation was issued, and that China wants Iran to solve these "regional" problems? Could Greenwald venture a guess as to how Iran would handle Israel?

The link to the Middle East opinions is certainly one Greenwald could give weight to, right? It tells us that Muslim nations are "angry." South Africa is "gravely concerned." South Africa - a country where rumors are high that genocide is escalating, and will escalate, upon Nelson Mandela's death - with Jews already high on the hunt list.

Iranians are protesting and chanting and marching with signs:

Israel must be wiped off the face of the earth and We should all rise and destroy Israel.

Egypt has their protesters, but government statements are tepid, as are statements out of Saudi Arabia, and Jordan. Hamas is a bully whose shenanigans they could do well without.

"David Axelrod, a top aide to Barack Obama, told CBS television the US president-elect was committed to achieving peace in the Middle East." That's a relief. Can't wait to hear his plan. Obama will not comment, because, of course, we can only have one President at a time, but Bush has put his position on record, over and over. Here's a quote from the same Middle East link, from a Bush spokesman:

The outgoing Bush administration blamed Hamas "thugs" for provoking the offensive by firing rockets into Israel from Gaza.

Our next President has a microphone anytime he wants it. For what reason would he not immediately condemn Hamas?

As Greenwald was gratified to claim Israeli condemnations by the Europe, he failed to mention at the least, this exception: German Chancellor Angela Merkel "blamed Hamas," and agreed that responsibility "clearly and exclusively lies with Hamas."

Greenwald muses whether or not Israel's security is "enhanced or undermined" by the "attack" on Gaza and whether "the 40-year-old Israeli occupation," among other events should "bear more of the blame."

American opinion-making elites march forward to opine on the historical rights and wrongs of the endless Israeli-Palestinian territorial conflict with such fervor and fixation that it's often easy to forget that the U.S. is not actually a direct party to this dispute....

Even for those Americans who...want endlessly to fixate on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, who care deeply and passionately about whether the Israelis or the Palestinians control this or that West Bank hill or village and want to spend the rest of their days arguing about who did what to whom in 1948 and 1967, what possible interests do Americans generally have in any of that...

Ignoring and rewriting history is the straightest path to legitimizing injustice, and Greenwald gives it his best shot. If historical events, such as the League of Nations' clear mandate for land for Israel, is not important, then what is? If we continue to ignore that much of Israel's land was stripped away to appease influential Arabs, then we can ignore anything. If we refuse to acknowledge that Israel has occupied these lands, continuously, from "time immemorial," and not expect and demand that their neighbors civilly accept the reality of Israeli nationhood, then what good to the world are free nation's everywhere?

If the free world cuts off funds to Israel, as Greenwald believes should happen; and if the free world leaves Israel waging this battle alone, then what happens to Israel? I don't doubt for a minute that Israel is capable of taking care of business, but for how long? Who asks this question? What happens to Israel?

Can a Westerner, and most importantly, an American, believe that Israel should cease to exist? Without U.S. support and the support of other free countries, she cannot exist where she is today. And that's the goal of the Muslim world.

"Just as was true for Israel's bombing of Lebanon, it's American bombs that -- with the whole world watching -- are blowing up children and mosques...."

Where is Greenwald's concern about atrocities in the name of Allah?

The Iranian U.S. embassy hostages, double digit American kidnappings in Lebanon, a Hizbullah suicide bomber attack at the Beirut Embassy, the bombing of the U.S. Marine barracks in Beirut, another Embassy bombing in Kuwait, again another in Beirut, Hizbullah hijacking a Kuwait flight and killing Americans, Hizbullah hijacking a TWA flight and killing a U.S. Navyman - 17 days of sheer terror for the passengers, the PLO murdering Leo Klingerhofer aboard the Achille Lauro, another TWA flight bombed just as the plane landed in Athens, Greece, the Pan Am Lockerie flight - killing 270, the 1989 World Trade Center car bomb, the Hizbullah bombing of the the U.S. military complex in Riyadh, bombings of embassies in Nairobe and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania - 223 dead, and injuring over 4000, the U.S.Cole, and September 11, 2001.

Nasrallah's atrocities against his own, Hamas atrocities against their own, al-Qaeda atrocities against their own, Iran's atrocities against their own, Islamic fathers' atrocities against their wives and daughters in the U.S.

There are hundreds and hundreds of thousands of killings in the name of Allah. You and I would be dead now, if Islamic extremists had their way. What does Greenwald have to say about this? Oh yes, I remember: if other than an Islamic population had not dared put foot on their sacred ground...infidels would not be an enemy.

...should [the U.S.] continue to play such an active, one-sided role in this dispute.

So what would the world have Israel do? Any nation on earth...if in Israel's place, what would they do?

The death of Hamas leader Nizar Rayan is good news even if tempered with the fact that members of his family were killed with him including two of his four wives and four of his six children. Yet, that fact should not be used as a propaganda tool by the Hamas terrorists.

The fact is that Rayan knew he was a target of Israeli bombs, yet refused to leave his residence, which he knew would likely be hit. It was his wish to become a martyr, and become a martyr he did. Apparently, he also made that decision for his family as well. He could have moved them to safety-as as any rational man would have done- but he chose to expose the rest of his family to "martyrdom" as well.

This incident is just another example of the sick ideology that has permeated the Palestinians, where mothers raise their children to become suicide bombers to be recruited by the Rayans and others. (Rayan was considered among other things, a "mentor" to suicide bombers in addition to being a lecturer on Islamic law at a university in Gaza.) This is what Rayan was teaching to Palestinian youth.

One would think that the people in Gaza would want to be known by the outside world for more positive accomplishments than suicide, homicide, bombs, death and destruction. How about building something? How about discovering something? How about curing a disease?

Why is it that since the Israelis pulled out of Gaza in August 2005, forcing unwilling Jewish settlers out by force in the process, that the leadership in Gaza could not use that opportunity to build a constructive society? Instead, they chose to rain rockets into Israel until it could no longer be tolerated by the Israelis (Of course, it was tolerated by the outside world, the EU and the UN.) And, as is their custom, Hamas, like Hizbollah, uses civilians in residences, mosques and schools as their human shields, quick to bring in the world's media to show the "innocent victims of Israeli's military" when non-combatants are inevitably killed. Israel uses every precaution available to avoid the taking of innocent life even at increasing the risk to its soldiers. In contrast, the killers of Hamas and Hizbollah deliberately target innocent civilians, the elderly, women and children. Yet the outside world looks the other way and only raises objections when Israel fights back. We even read of demonstrations against Israel in India, where the lessons of Mumbai have apparently already been forgotten.

Oh, those "inconvenient Jews", the Israelis. If only Israel would go away, we could live in peace with the Muslim world, not fear terrorist attacks against ourselves and have all the Middle East oil we need. Of course, we may have to take away our freedoms, change our religion and cover up our women to keep the Muslim world happy, but that would be a small price to pay now, wouldn't it?

Peace in our time, if you will.

No, I say good riddance with the Nizar Rayans of the world. I say let Israel finish the job of wiping out Hamas. Their enemies are our enemies.

Yesterday, I posted a humorous (in my view) photo of some statue with a guy on a horse portraying it as a memorial to the "Great Leader", Roland Burris. I should get a job as a psychic. Today, CNN and the Chicago Tribune are reporting that Burris has already erected his own mausoleum in a Chicago cemetery which has his complete resume chiseled in it under the heading, "Trailblazer".

It reminds me of the time back in 1998. We were preparing to move from Northern Virginia to California, and I decided to spend a day walking around Arlington National Cemetery. While walking aimlessly, I came across the grave of former Illinois Governor Otto Kerner. It was the first time I had ever seen a man's resume carved on a gravestone. Kerner's headstone was made of polished brown marble and must have stood 3-4 feet high. On both sides of the marker was carved every job Kerner had ever held from bagging groceries at the supermarket to his military service to DA to judge to Governor to head of the Kerner Commisssion and on and on and on. (The only thing missing was the time he spent in prison for corruption.)

You can't make this stuff up, folks. There is defintely something in the water in Illinois. If only the Cubs were this great.

Video: Tzafrir Ronen on the Palestinian Bluff

I understand that the gentleman speaking in this video, Tzafrir Ronen, has recently, and unexpectedly, died at the age of 53. From all that I've read about him, he was a passionate, some say the most passionate, Jew fighting to preserve Israel's right to its land.

His comments on the "creation" of Palestine and a "Palestinian" people are true - the great identity bluff! If you are a reader having problems with Israel's "aggression" against the time-honored dwellers of Palestine - well, you have been conned - it's that simple. I challenge you to get a grip on real history. Listen up. Study up. It's essential to the state of the world, not just Israel.

Golda Meir: War And Wisdom

I'm reading a book containing 14 of Oriana Fallaci's interviews with the world's most powerful people as of 1974 (it's an out of print book titled "Interview With History"). It's astounding for its raw glimpse into leaders that during the 1970's were headlining newspapers and affecting nearly every family in the world in one way or another. With the current battle in the Gaza Strip raging right now in Israel, I thought it would be interesting to let you read a little of what Golda Meir said about Israel's prospects for peace in November of 1972. She had been prime minister of Israel for over three years by then. (Note: I've edited some of her answers for brevity, always keeping in mind the power of the scalpel)

Oriana Fallaci: Mrs. Meir, when will there be peace in the Middle East? Will we be able to see this peace in our lifetimes?

Golda Meir: You will, I think. Maybe...I certainly won't. I think the war in the Middle East will go on for many, many years. And I'll tell you why. Because of the indifference with which the Arab leaders send their people off to die, because of the low estimate in which they hold human life, because of the inability of the Arab people to rebel and say enough.

Do you remember when Khrushchev denounced Stalin's crimes during the Twentieth Communist Congress? A voice was raised at the back of the hall, saying, "And where were you, Comrade Khrushchev?" Khrushchev scrutinized the faces before him, found no one, and said, "Who spoke up?" No one answered. "Who spoke up?" Khrushchev exclaimed. And again no one answered. Then Khrushchev exclaimed "Comrade, I was where you are now." Well, the Arab people are just where Khrushchev was, where the man was who reproached him without having the courage to show his face.

We can only arrive at peace with the Arabs through an evolution on their part that includes democracy. But wherever I turn by eyes to look, I don't see a shadow of democracy. I see only dictatorial regimes. And a dictator doesn't have to account to his people for a peace he doesn't make. He doesn't even have to account for the dead. Who's ever found out how many Egyptian soldiers died in the last two wars? Only the mothers, sisters, wives, relatives who didn't see them come back.Their leaders aren't even concerned to know where they're buried, if they're buried. While we...

Fallaci: While you?...

Meir: Look at these five volumes. they contain the photograph and biography of every man and woman solider who died in the war. For us, every single death is a tragedy. We don't like to make war, even when we win. After the last one, there was no joy in our streets. No dancing, no songs, no festivities. And you should have seen our soldiers coming back victorious. Each one was a picture of sadness. Not only because they had seen their brothers die, but because they had had to kill their enemies. Many locked themselves in their rooms and wouldn't speak. Or when they opened their mouths, it was to repeat a refrain: "I had to shoot, I killed." Just the opposite of the Arabs. After the war we offered the Egyptians an exchange of prisoners. Seventy of theirs for ten of ours, The answered, "but yours are officers, ours are fellahin! It's impossible." Fellahin, peasants. I'm afraid...

Fallaci: Will you ever give up Jerusalem, Mrs. Meir?

Meir: No. Never. No. Jerusalem no. Jerusalem never. Inadmissible. Jerusalem is out of the question. We won't even agree to discuss Jerusalem.

Fallaci: Would you give up the West Bank of the Jordan?

Meir: On this point there are differences of opinion in Israel. So it's possible that we'd be ready to negotiate about the West Bank. Let me make myself clearer. I believe the majority of Israelis would never ask the Knesset to give up the West Back completely. However, if we should come to negotiate with Hussein, the majority of Israelis would be ready to hand back part of the West Bank...

Fallaci: And Gaza? Would you give up Gaza, Mrs. Meir?

Meir: I say that Gaza must, should be part of Israel. Yes, that's my opinion. Our opinion, in fact. However, to start negotiating, I don't ask Hussein or Sadat to agree with me on any point...

Fallaci: And the Golan Heights?

Meir: It's more or less the same idea. The Syrians would like us to come down from the Golan Heights so that they can shoot down at us as they did before. Needless to say, we have not intention of doing so, we'll never come down from the plateau. Nevertheless, we're ready to negotiate with the Syrians too.

Fallaci: And the Sinai?

Meir: We've never said that we wanted the whole Sinai or most of the Sinai. We don't want the whole Sinai. We want control of Sharm El Sheikh and part of the desert, let's say a strip of the desert, connecting Israel with Sharm El Sheikh. Is that clear? Must I repeat it?...

Fallaci: And so it's obvious you'll never go back to your old borders.

Meir: Never. And when I say never, it's not because we mean to annex new territory. It's because we mean to ensure our defense, our survival. If there's any possibility of reaching the peace you spoke of in the beginning, this is the only way. There'd never be peace if the Syrians were to return to the Golan Heights, if the Egyptians were to take back the whole Sinai, if we were to re-establish our 1967 borders with Hussein. In 1967, the distance to Natanya and the sea was barely ten miles, fifteen kilometers, IF we give Hussein the possibility of covering those fifteen kilometers, Israel risks being cut in two and...They accuse us of being expansionist, but believe me, we're not interested in expanding. We're only interested in new borders. And look, these Arabs want to go back to the 1967 borders. IF those borders were the right ones, why did they destroy them?

Fallaci: But since the 1967 cease-fire, the war in the Middle East has taken on a new face: the face of terror, of terrorism. What do you think of this war and the men who are conducting it? OF Arafat, for instance, of Habash, of the Black September leaders?

Meir: I simply think they're not men. I don't even consider them human beings, and the worst thing you can say of a man is that he's not a human being. It's like saying he's an animal, isn't it? But how can you call what they're doing "a war"? Don't you remember what Habash said when he had a bus full of Israeli children blown up? "It's best to kill the Iseaelis while they're still children." Come on, what they're doing isn;t a war. It's not even a revolutionary movement because a movement that only wants to kill can't be called revolutionary. Look, at the beginning of the century in Russia, in the revolutionary movement that rose up to overthrow the czar, there was one party that considered terror the only means of struggle. One day a man from this party was sent with a bomb to a street corner where the carriage of one of the czar's high officials was supposed to pass. The carriage went by at the expected time, but the official was not alone, he was accompanied by his wife and children. So what did this true revolutionary do? He didn't throw the bomb. He let it go off in his hand and was blown to pieces. Look, we too had our terrorist groups during the War of Independence: the Stern, the Irgun. And I was opposed to them, I was always opposed to them. But neither of them ever covered itself with such infamy as the Arabs have done with us. Neither of them ever put bombs in supermarkets or dynamite in school buses. Neither of them ever provoked tragedies like Munich or Lod airport.

Fallaci: And how can one fight such terrorism, Mrs. Meir? Do you really think it helps to bomb Lebanese villages?

Meir: ...Maybe more than any other Arab country, Lebanon is offering hospitality to the terrorists. The Japanese who carried out the Lod massacre came from Lebanon, The girls who tried to hijack the Sabena plane in Tel Aviv had been trained in Lebanon. Are we supposed to sit here with our hands folded, praying and murmuring, "Let's hope that nothing happens"? Praying doesn't help. What helps is to counterattack. With all possible means, including means that we don't necessarily like. Certainly we'd rather fight them in the open, but since that's not possible...

Learning of Tsafrir Ronens death has been the catalyst ive needed to write in support of Israel's War with Hamas in Gaza.

My view on 'Operation Caste Lead' from England is my small contribution to the media frenzy surrounding Israel's military operation against Hamas in Gaza. It is in solidarity with the heart
and vision of the deceased Tsafrir Ronen and all those Jewish people in Israel and from around the World who carry that same heart and vision for the Nation of Israel and its divine right to exist in the Holy Land.

I personally had dealings with Tsafrir when I was in the Holy Land after spending time with the extreme Left Wing Anarchist group the "International Solidarity Movement", after a contact I was in communication with at the time from ACT put us in touch.

Tsafrir made arrangements for me to meet with a Jewish reporter who wrote in her own way in a Jewish newspaper about my time with the ISM in the West Bank, and from that article written about my experience in the Holy Land I have made good friends with several Jewish families in
Israel, so Tsafrir's memory will live on long after he has gone, and not just in Israel but around the World.

From what I can see, he was a voice and a builder for the Nation and people, not content with watching the World go by and leaving the work that needs to be done to others, someone who has left a legacy behind, and what he could personally envision about the present and future for
the Nation of Israel and the wider World is what many others like myself can see too, and is the reason why the Israeli Government are now fighting a war to the end with Hamas.

We are all in this together!

May the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob bless the legacy of Tsafrir Ronen and the family and friends he has left behind.

Israel is the canary in the coal mine, on the frontline in the Islamic Worlds Jihad (Holy War) to destroy our Judeo/Christian Civilisation so that the Islamic texts can be fulfilled with Islam stretching from one end of the Earth to the other.

To our Judeo/Christian Civilisation, for the Nation of Israel to fall and be removed from the map which is the aim of all Islamic movements in that part of the World, and the wider global Islamic community would be like pulling the plug from an inflatable ball. Pull the plug and eventually the ball crumples in upon itself, no longer what it once was but a crumpled mess on the floor. The Nation of Israel being that plug.

What happens to the Nation of Israel has a direct bearing upon all Western Nations. The conflicts it faces with its neighbours like Hamas and Hezbollah are the exact same conflicts we now face with our neighbours in the form of the Islamist movements who are living amongst us and
calling for our Nations to be turned into Islamic States so that the global Caliphate can be established.

You can deny it but pull back the curtains of reality and look at the facts and you will see the picture staring you in the face as clear as day.

For Israel to fall would be one of the greatest victories against our Judeo/Christian civilization for centuries, and would mark the beginning of the end of Civilisation as we know it, that is why now after 2000 years and its modern re-birth, the Nation of Israel will never fall no matter what the cost, because a future without it isn't a future worth thinking about.

That's why the Israeli's have the Samson effect written into their military code, and they have the staunch backing of America, still the most powerful Nation on Earth, both defenders of our Judeo/Christian civilisation.

It is Hamas today, Hezbollah tomorrow and will be Iran will on the third day.

Operation 'Caste Lead' has been a long time coming and God bless the Israeli military as they seek to topple the Hamas government by all means necessary.

For those who do not know, Hamas is one of the world's most extreme Islamist movements, it states in their charter that their mission is to drive Israel into the sea and remove it from the map. This mission is supported by all Islamist movements around the World and by all Moslems everywhere if they are good Moslems. If they do not agree with this and their perceived brothers/sisters plight in the Israeli occupied territories then they are not Moslem, they are Apostates and should be killed in an Islamic State.

Many reading this will never grasp the depth of reality of what we now face from the Islamic religion because they know absolutely nothing whatsoever about the fundamental teachings of the religion, or its religious purpose and mandate upon the Earth. Without knowing these things you know knowing about the religion or about how Moslems think and view the World around them and what their intent is.

The Islamic religion has its mandate that was written into its pages by a 7th century warmongering paedophile, and all Moslems today are to follow that mandate and example that he set, and they are willing and wanting to die in the process of achieving it, because to die in
achieving the ultimate goal for Islam is the highest death a Moslem can achieve in this mortal life.

Ultimately a global army of suicidal religious mass murderers who want to destroy our Judeo/Christian civilization so that their religion can be implemented across the Earth, and Hamas in Gaza who Israel face are part of that army.

Israel, India, America, Britain, Europe, China, Russia, Canada, all major Nations on Earth now have this religious force aimed at their destruction, from within and without.

But the gullible masses are told "Islam is a religion of peace", and it's a "small minority", while all around they are being surrounded by them and their society and way of life being forced to change and fall in line with their Islamic way of life.

Israel as a Nation and its Jewish people have these extreme Islamist movements within their borders and surrounding their borders, movements that are suicidally intent on their complete annihilation and have no problem stating these aims and working towards these aims.
Hezbollah in the North and Hamas in the South and both propped up and supported by the Islamic Nation of Iran and other groups like Al Qaeda.

The general public in Britain have absolutely no clue whatsoever about the reality of what the Jewish people living in Israel face on a daily basis. There is an almost complete media blackout concerning the reality of the Islamic religion and its core objectives, and the same
goes when reporting on the situation the Jewish people in Israel face.
We do not hear about the daily rocket bombardments on Israeli towns, the terror the Jewish people are forced to live in on a daily basis, all we see is the poor Palestinians suppressed by a big bad Israel.

An Islamic Palestinian militant jumps on a bus or walks into a café and kills scores of innocent Jewish men, women and children and our Left Wing media depicts him as a freedom fighter, fighting against big bad Israeli occupation and aggression.

So the Western mind who knows nothing about the Islamic religion or the aims of Islamist movements perceives it to be big bad Israel and poor little Palestinian fighting for a righteous cause, even though he has just murdered and maimed innocent people.

Moslems and their Dhimmi Intellectuals and Left Wing supporters then call for a boycott
of Israel and the gullible masses follow because they have been duped to side with the poor Palestinians.

Don't teach the people the truth about what they face then they will believe everything and anything they are shown.

Israel then builds a wall around its Nation to prevent these suicide bombers from entering its territory and killing its citizens and Israel then becomes an apartheid Nation in Western eyes because of the Left Wing media.

Before the wall there was wave after wave of continuous suicide bombings that killed hundreds of Jewish citizens, and since the wall there has been almost zero.

If you were Jewish living in Israel how would you feel about the wall?

The Lebanese Islamist movement Hezbollah on Israel's northern border kidnaps and kills Israel soldiers and provokes Israel into a War. Israel uses its military might to crush its Islamic enemy who has provoked it into a War and we are shown on our TV screens an overwhelming force by an Israeli army against an Islamist movement, and the next thing you have marches through the streets of London by Moslems and doogooding Left Wing Liberals stating 'We are all Hezbollah now'.

Big bad Israel against this small peaceful people the message is given io the gullible masses by Moslems in Britain and their Left Wing supporters. Little do they realise the true reality of who Hezbollah actually are and what they stand for, they just jump on the band wagon against the big bad Israelis.

Islamist movements from around the World using Western/British public opinion against Israel, they are what the text books call useful idiots, but useful idiots who are on the enemies side in this modern global conflict, traitors in fact.

A young Israeli soldier by the name of Gilad Shalit is kidnapped by Hamas gunmen and held without medical care or access to, and communication with the outside world, and has been
like this for several years now and the World does nothing to pressure Hamas to release him. Instead the World pressurises Israel to sit down and negotiate with Hamas with no conditions set – And they do.

A Western journalist is kidnapped in Gaza and there is uproar around the World and he is
released from his ordeal after a very short space of time.

How would you feel if you were Jewish, living in Israel when these types of situations and the double standards are played out before your very eyes?

Isnt any wonder that Jewish people everywhere support operation 'Caste Lead', no matter what international opinion is.

The British government does not care about the plight of Israel and its Jewish citizens, all they are concerned about are the poor Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza, Palestinians who have reaped what they have sown from Israel.

Be friendly to the Islamic militants in that part of the World, send them as much unconditional aid money as we can and then Moslems back home might not be too angry towards us and attack our streets.

APEASEMENT

This propaganda for the Palestinians is reflected in the media because the only side the British people are ever shown is the Palestinian side so a large part of public opinion is against Israel. With 'Caste Lead' our TV screens are filled with Israeli bombings and Palestinian deaths and casualties. Before this were our TV screens filled with images of Jewish women and children coming under continual daily rocket fire from Hamas?

NO

We just see big bad Israel with tanks planes and helicopters bombing and killing poor Palestinians, the Left Wing coming out in defence of Hamas this extreme Islamist movement and condemning Israel, with the gullible masses then resenting Israel for its righteous actions.

For those watching who know the threat that we all face; is it any wonder things are so
bad in Britain now in relation to the Islamic religion in our midst and the newly established Islamic State upon our isles when the line is not drawn on the right side of the conflict? Who are our friends and who are our enemies?

The Islamists in Britain who are ideologically aligned to Hamas are a law unto themselves now, who the authorities have absolutely no control over - Londonistan.

This current War with Hamas has been a long time coming, and as a supporter of Israel I hope and pray that the military will now crush the Hamas government and terrorist movement for the sake of the safety and security of their Nation and for the protection of its Jewish
residents.

Hamas has continually been firing these rockets into Israel killing and injuring Israeli citizens throughout what was claimed to be a cease fire. Hamas declared an end to the cease fire last week and fired 80 rockets into Israel on that same day.

What was Israel's response?

'Operation Cast Lead' and all out War with Hamas until the movement has been defeated, and if you were living in Israel what would you expect your government to do?

We are not and our government is supporting Hamas and telling Israel to stop its operation.

Know your friends and enemies!

Hamas have now received everything they wanted from the Israeli government, they provoked them into this War and are now playing the media game for propaganda purposes to garner international support for themselves and to demonise Israel in the worlds eyes.

The Palestinian people democratically elected this terror group into power so are responsible for every bit of terror carried out by them.

Israel as a Nation 'is' the canary in the coal mine who knows better than anyone about the threat posed to the entire World by the military wing of the Islamic religion because they face its hatred and murder on a daily basis, it is a reality to them. Isn't it time they themselves fought back by proxy against the Islamists and their Left Wing supporters, and put across the proper picture of current events.

There is much worse on the horizon for the Nation of Israel, Hamas today, Hezbollah tomorrow and Iran on the third day. Israel must secure her borders before taking on Iran and destroying its Nuclear infrastructure which will bring about an all out war in that part of
the world.

Israel is now under siege from all sides with a Nuclear Nation arising in the background that is declaring its coming annihilation.

Operation 'Cast lead' and War in Gaza is the first step in a major War for the preservation of the Nation of Israel.

In War its 'them or us' no middle ground remember that!

May God continue to bless and protect them, the apple of His eye.

At the time of posting this I have read that the British government have vetoed with America for Israel not to stop its military campaign on Hamas in Gaza because Hamas will not agree to stop firing rockets.

A bit of common sense it seems because why should Israel stop bombing Hamas if they do not agree to stop firing rockets into Israel.

President Bush and the incoming President of the EU are the only World leaders up until this point who have supported Israels right to self defence and blamed Hamas for the current War in Gaza.

Maybe the British government are starting to come to their senses and realising the reality of what the whole world now faces in relation to all Islamist movements around the World who are hell bent on destroying Israel, America, Britain and the West.

Yesterday it was Mumbai, Today it is Israel, and Tomorrow it could be anywhere.

A New Year's Message From Radarsite

To all my friends and readers and contributors -- Happy New Year!

This is the beginning of a new year, and I think it is appropriate now to let that standing announcement about my health situation finally make its way into the Radarsite archives. By now, I'm sure that most of you are aware of my ongoing battle with leukemia, and I see no reason to give this story priority status here any longer. I no longer want that unhappy message to be the first thing one sees when coming onto Radarsite; there are just too many other important subjects discussed here to continue to dwell on this one personal battle. I will not use the pages of Radarsite to keep up a running account of my personal health issues. Someday perhaps I may write about what this battle has been like for me and what I have learned in the course of it all. One of the first and foremost things I have learned is how many good caring people there are out there, how many wonderful friends, both old and new, I have been fortunate enough to have made.

There is no possible way that I can properly thank Maggie and Katie and Gary and Susan for all of the work they have put into keeping Radarsite alive -- indeed, more than just alive, actually thriving (four of their exceptional articles have been published at the Chicago Sun Times, and many more by Reuters). I hope this exposure has also proven to be beneficial to you all as well.

Hopefully RCP will be up and running soon. I never realized how many readers I have had because of RCP and I will be grateful to have them back once again. FYI: I intend to repost to RCP some of those articles I posted to Radarsite while they were down, and I hope you will all do the same. Hopefully in this way we can regain some of those readers we lost during RCP's downtime.

Finally, my New Year's Resolution this year is quite specific: It is simply to survive 2009, and to be grateful for all of those wonderful things that have happened to me in 2008.

I hope that my great contributors will also continue contributing to Radarsite even after RCP opens up again. I will continue to contribute when I can, for as long as I can.

A great UPDATE: It seems your prayers are working. I just got back from the hospital in Boston last night with some wonderful news. The prognosis has been upgraded from 2-3 weeks to 3-9 months, and maybe even longer. AND, I don't have to spend this time in the hospital, but I can stay home and do the procedures as an outpatient. This is terrific news.

When I went into the hospital yesterday morning I had been told that I had 2 weeks left, and that I would most likely be put into the hospital immediately to start chemo, which I probably would not survive. Now suddenly I've got 3-9 months or longer, and I can spend them at home with my good friends and loving family. I got my Thanksgiving and Christmas back, and maybe even another Spring and some Summer. I feel like a kid on Christmas Morning. lol

I've received 1,000+ emails, so I just can't respond to them all. But I will try to keep you updated through Maggie's Notebook. I'm not in pain and I'm so grateful for all your thoughts and prayers. Last night when I got back from Boston I read over all of the comments to my announcement, and thinking of all these wonderful people and how they are all pulling for me is the closest I have come to tears.

Keep up the good fight. Maybe I'll be joining in sometime a little later.
