If they can't control them, they should resort to honoricide.When your brat murders a Jew or two on his way to Hell and you celebrate as if it was his wedding day; when your media and 'government' honor him as a 'martyr', you should expect some pay back.Failure to retaliate is an open invitation to stage more terror attacks. Evidently there is nothing intrinsically wrong with rocket attacks, they are perfectly acceptable if they are well aimed instead of random. An honest statesman would omit the qualifiers and issue an absolute condemnation of all attacks against civilian targets.

Some Reflections on the Hate Fest at UC-Irvine

There is yet one more event scheduled by the UC-Irvine Muslim Student Union in concert with their program entitled:"Israel-The Politics of Genocide". That will be May 21, when the America-detesting British MP-and friend of the Saddam Hussein family of Iraq comes to spew his anti-American venom. The main event ended yesterday with Amir Abdel Malik Ali. I would like add a few thoughts and follow-up details.

After Ali was finished with his usual diatribe, a few Jewish students came up to a colleague of mine. They were quite upset and expressed the feeling that nobody at UCI was looking out for them. I have to totally agree with that assessment. Recently, in a campus meeting of Jewish students with a counselor, about half of the students (all females) admitted that they felt intimidated on campus. In my conversation with one Jewish student yesterday, he expressed frustration and indicated that he didn't really know how to respond to this on-going campaign by the MSU on campus, which has anti-Semitic undertones.

Later, my colleague was followed back to his car by an MSU student, who took down his license plate number. (This will be passed on to the campus police). This is the type of intimidation and thuggery that is often practiced by the MSU at UCI against those who voice opposition to their antics and their speakers.

I might note here that the MSU announced yesterday that they are "talking with their lawyers" about being treated "unfairly" by UCI. Apparently, some of the space they wanted to use for their posters had been taken away by the administration.

So what is the outcome of this week's events? Anteaters for Israel will hold their annual I-Fest next week that will feature bake sales, souvenirs and such. I have mixed feelings about it. Yes, it provides a welcome contrast with MSU's emphasis on hatred, doom and gloom. On the other hand, it seems a weak response to those who wish for your destruction.

I feel that UCI's much-vaunted "Olive Tree Initiative", which sent a team of Jewish and Muslim students to the Holy Land, has lost some more credibility here. If a handful of Muslim students had their views moderated, great. What many of us were hoping to see was a greater effort by MSU to moderate their tone and find more reputable speakers. Instead, Malik Ali continues to be a regular speaker, and now we have the specter of Cynthia McKinney and George Galloway tracking their mud on our campus. So much for moderation. I was not present at McKinney's evening speech, but one Jewish friend got up and walked out in disgust after 5 minutes. He described it as an anti-American crowd. He in turn, was followed out by another man, similarly outraged, who called the crowd, "Nazis". This man, in turn, was followed out by an MSU male member who had to be ordered back into the room by a university official to preclude an incident.

As I have written many times before, these events represent a black eye for UC-Irvine, especially since so few students are involved in the ugliness. Yet, it was disappointing to me to see so many other campus student organizations participate in the sponsorship-groups that should know better, and which I hope will do some serious reflection. The university also suffered embarrassment over the announcement of the MSU events on their electronic schedule boards on major campus intersections-which left the impression that the university itself was putting its imprimatur on the theme, "Israel-the Politics of Genocide". (It was eventually taken down when a complaint was lodged that went all the way to the Governor's Office.)

As I have said many times, there are better ways for the MSU to make the case for the Palestinian cause than bringing in incendiary speakers who carry with them not only an anti-Israel agenda, but in many cases, an anti-Jew and anti-American agenda as well. UCI, fairly or unfairly, has acquired a national reputation as a hotbed of radical Muslim and anti-Semitic activity, where complaints of Jewish students have fallen on deaf ears. This week's events did nothing to improve that reputation.

Another aspect of all this that I find discouraging is the mixed reaction of the Jewish community, which is fragmented. In the Irvine area, there are some Jews/and organizations that don't want to make waves for a variety of reasons. Last week, the head of UCI's Hillel sent out a memo urging off-campus groups not to show up to demonstrate against the MSU events. I frankly do not understand that line of thinking. There were only a couple of Jewish professors present at the events-at least that I saw, and one of them was from UC-Riverside. There are organizations that claim that they are supporting Jewish students at UCI in the face of the MSU campaign. Perhaps, but if they are not standing up and fighting the hate that is spewed forth by the MSU and its speakers, then how are they supporting Jewish students-with bake sales? If they don't want to stand up for Israel or for Jews, at least stand up and defend America. That would send a positive message to the entire student body.

Finally this. I have been teaching at UCI part-time for 11 years. Since my principal source of income is derived from my government retirement, I have never even applied for a full-time position. Two hours a day is plenty for me. Yet, it is becoming apparent that my time at UCI is coming to an end. This quarter, after eleven years, I was not initially offered a class-then given a couple of electives a day or two later. Although I have always enjoyed a great relationship with the people I work with in the Extension, I suspect that after all the criticism I have leveled at the UCI Administration over this issue, that someone in the administration finally dropped a call to the Extension. (Nobody has told me that.) Of course, UCI doesn't even have to fire me. I am a part-timer with a quarterly contract. All they have to do is simply not give me any more classes to teach. If that comes to pass, fine. I knew going into this what the consequences could be and accepted it. I do not rely on this job for my survival. No matter what happens, however, rest assured that I will continue to speak out against hate speech and anti-America speech on campus.

Is Charlie Crist the Only Choice for Florida Senator? What About Marco Rubio?

Republicans are meeting in a "special" session next week to officially brand the Democrat party as the "Democrat Socialist Party." I think that name is apt, but really, this is a lame attempt to get a message across. Is this how Republicans unite? See photos and a video below.

During the campaign we couldn't get a Republican to stand up and call Obama a Socialist. We knew he was a Socialist, with communist leanings if given a chance. We read, we studied his background, we studied his activities as a "community organizer." So what did our "speakers" do, they waited, now it's too late, and their pathetic impotent whines ring hollow.

Apparently, this "special" session is considered an emergency, and to call a "special" session, 16 RNC members from 16 different states are needed to call the meeting. Party leaders want to get some issues on the table for airing. I'm up for that.

Two other resolutions — to urge Republican lawmakers to reject earmarks and to commend them for opposing “bailouts and reckless spending bills” — are also on the agenda, but language that would have denounced Sen. Arlen Specter, a Republican turned Democrat, and Republican Sens. Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins for voting for President Obama’s stimulus package has been dropped.

I think all the "togetherness" the party leaders can stand is a very good thing, and ongoing discussions about earmarks are critical. It's good to keep the party centered and focused. I don't know about condemnation of Specter, Snowe and Collins. I see no fruit coming that. Maybe just doing a little strong-arm technique works better, like NEVER, NEVER support a single Bill they want supported unless it is a thoroughly conservative venture? If a Snowe or Collins Bill has the stench of Democrat support, look at it closely, very closely - and for heavens sake - read every word those two women write. You could also sit at another lunch table.

Our focus must be on finding very conservative candidates for the 2010 election, and guaranteeing that powerful Republicans unite behind them with vigor. In this arena, we are going to lose our first battle: Governor Charlie Crist has announced for the U.S. Senate seat of Mel Martinez. If what I read is true, Marco Rubio is a "real" conservative out of Florida, and he's running against Crist. Unless the information out there can be proven incorrect, Rubio is very conservative - but yet, the Republican establishment is gearing up to support Charlie Crist who rushed with adoration and open arms to support Barack Obama's stimulus bill. Jon Cornyn says the National Republican Senatorial Committee will throw their full support behind Crist. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is backing Crist. The position is that Crist offers the best chance to "maintain the checks and balances that Floridians deserve in the U.S. Senate. What does that mean? Florida doesn't want conservatism representing them?

You may remember this week that some in the party said Republicans need a "bigger tent," meaning we need to be more moderate to bring in those less conservative. This from a Republican:

Gov. Crist is exactly what we need because if we don't increase the size of our tent, we're going to be in big trouble in our future,'' said Joe Gruters, chairman of the Sarasota Republican Party and Buchanan's political director.

A Senate hero, in my opinion, Senator Jim DeMint, used the term "big tent" party to described what he thinks the Repubs need, but he said this:

But big tents need strong poles, and the strongest pole of our party -- the organizing principle and the crucial alternative to the Democrats -- must be freedom. The federal government is too big, takes too much of our money, and makes too many of our decisions. If Republicans can't agree on that, elections are the least of our problems.

I can agree with that...but people who want to be free and people who want to smaller government should already be in our tent. Our tent is already huge, but our leaders are ignoring our presence and they are not listening to us. I say, lose the Big Tent image. Get behind conservative candidates.

DeMint paraphrased C.S. Lewis:

"...if you aim for principled reform, you win elections in the bargain; if you just aim for elections, you get neither."

All those so ready to jump and endorse any well-known face, take a deep breath and a step back. Ask why you would support a Charlie Crist, a Republican that made such an embarrassing point of supporting the stimulus. Senator Mel Martinez, who Crist would replace said:

I don't know that my governor [Crist] understands all the details in this package -- that there will be nothing here to help with Florida's housing economy, Martinez said, noting the package is light on stemming the tide of foreclosures.

Crist acknowledged that he hasn't seen all the details but said Florida needs federal help, period.

Now that's embarrassing!

About 2-1/2 minutes into the video below you can watch Charlie Crist tell us that the stimulus is not about partisan politics, it's about rising above "that."

Back in February there was a lot of talk that Crist had seriously damaged any aspiration for the Senate with his groveling at the feet of the President. Reports were that donors were furious, that phone calls were coming in fast and the callers were angry. Ana Navarro, said to be a Republican consultant from Miami said...way back in February:

We're going to spend $30 to $40 million to get a Republican elected to that Senate seat, and we could end up with a guy who's going to be the 60th vote for Democrats.

Come on Republicans. Get a mad-on and demand that those with the purse strings, those purses you've helped fill, take a look at Marco Rubio, at least (read more about him here) - or perhaps there's someone else - just don't anoint Crist because he seems the natural successor.

Code Pink Amazon Attack on Donald Rumsfeld and Wife

Donald Rumsfeld and his wife had just arrived at the Washington Correspondents dinner when an amazon from Code Pink along with her shrill little friend Madea Benjamin, approached, got up-close-and-personal and yelled over and over "war criminal," "war criminal."

Remember when Rick Lazio approached Hillary during a debate in thee 2000 NY Senate race, and asked for her signature on a fundraising agreement? He was castigated for invading "her space." Lazio's political career was all but over. The hue and cry from the left was unbelievable. Read some commentary at Althouse about that incident.

The woman you see in the video is one big woman - much bigger than Rumsfeld. Why didn't security get her out of his face? She could have had a suicide belt or a knife until the scarf she was wearing. Listen as the amazon says says she would handcuff Rumsfeld if she could.

The security team needs some sensitivity training - sensitive to a physical threat in progress.

I wonder what member of Congress gave them a pass to get in the door?

Number 1, of who knows how many: As a conservative, my husband and I feel we're marinating in disgust at the GOP. I find my friends feel the same. I think sharing our disgust and our rejection of the GOP is a good idea. Maybe it will inspire you and maybe you will realize you are not alone. This is not about a third party, as I have no clear opinion about the wisdom of that idea. Dear Democrats in Drag in the GOP/RNC Leadership positions,

Please stop sending me letters begging me for money. I am no longer a member of the Republican Party.

For years I was a member of the GOP because it was the closest political machine that represented my views as a Conservative Libertarian but that was too hard to explain to the idiots the federally run public indoctrination camps spits out these days, aka the Public School System. By the way, the American Public School System is unconstitutional. Try to locate the constitutionality of the Department of Education and what they are doing within the Constitution and I'll go along with it. I won't hold my breathe.

I grow weary, no, I am passed that stage. I am ultimately sick and tired of getting letters with the opening lines asking me if I have given up on the GOP. That's a dumb question and tugging on my heart strings doesn't work. I have more integrity that that and I do not live by emotion - emotion does not drive me, my intellect does and these kinds of form letters insult me. I am not an emotionally driven Democrat. So, please stop. However, I do have emotions and it breaks my heart when I see this Nation slip into that abyss of obscurity because cowards will not stand for what they believe in and go along to get along.

I came home from a war and for the first time I realized what the Vietnam Veterans experienced - a country lost and wallowing in the primordial ooze of a lost identity and a lost mission. The United States Constitution that I fought and bled for means nothing to you, apparently. If it did mean something to you, and it should because all of you swore the same Oath I did, you would be addressing each and every Bill in the confines, edicts and restrictions set forth in our Founding Document. Yet and alas, you do not. Why is that?

I hear all of you debate and argue and not one of you - NOT ONE - even dare to mention the United States Constitution. Well, perhaps one of you does and, oddly enough, that is Senator Byrd that mentions it and waves it around before the CSPAN cameras and then promptly votes against it. Lip service disgusts me. Well, perhaps Ron Paul does also but he is the wrong guy for the right message. He just so happens to be wrong about some key Constitutional issues but that's for another day. And, you don't care anyway.

And about that ill-founded statement about me abandoning the Republican Party. What Republican Party? The one going by the wayside of the Whigg Party, the Know Nothing Party? When I hear alleged Republicans say we have to move into the bigger tent and move further to the left, I have to ask myself, who is the idiot that is saying all of this? Move further to the left when others are saying that the GOP has moved to the far right? When did the GOP move into the Anarchist's Camp? Did you do that while we were fighting the Jihadi? Is that why I hear we have to move left because we are all Anarchists now? What did I miss while I was fighting to keep you all warm and fuzzy at night?

Perhaps you are all referring to those neocons. You know, those Democrats that moved into the GOP because they knew that running as a Conservative would guarantee a win and the Democrats, to this day, run "conservatives" against the "liberal" Republicans...and WIN. And you guys put a liberal Republican, ie John McCain up against another seasoned liberal? To what end? How did that work out for you, and the Nation? Does it make you proud that now, at this moment, a known Jihadi sympathizer, a known Communist is now in the position of acting President of the United States? An unknown? A nobody? A liberal so far to the left that Stalin would be proud? And you want to move FURTHER to the left? Have you lost your minds? And you ask me if I have abandoned you? You ask me if I have given up? You ask me for donations so that you can win elections by moving further to the left? I was, in fact, born in the early morning hours but, it wasn't yesterday morning.

I have watched time and time again as the RNC/GOP machine embrace, coddle, promote and support known liberal Republicans and have watched each one fail and lose elections or re-elections. I witnessed my Senator, John Cornyn, throw all of his weight behind that democrat in drag Arlen Specter. When I heard that, I fired off a letter telling Senator Cornyn that the last election was my last vote for him and now he is doing the same with yet another democrat in drag that is all of a sudden, like McCain, Graham and Cantor, talking about "conservatism" like they believe in it and live it. Please. I can spot a liar from 10 clicks. Cornyn is now supporting and throwing his weight behind Crist. Who has abandoned whom? You have got to kidding me. Is Crist now going to defect to the Democrat Party like Arlen Specter did? He should.

What the RNC/GOP leadership ought to do but doesn't have the moral fortitude to do, is purge the GOP of the democrats in drag and have their Party membership revoked, their membership cards sent through the shredder and have them take their neocon (old democrat) selves back to their first love, the Democrat Party. At least the enemy can be identified once more. It is nearly impossible to win a battle when the enemy cannot be clearly defined.

When one takes a critical look at both main political parties, it is very hard to distinguish which one is more liberal than the other and it seems like each is trying to out-liberal the other.

I watched the buffoons of the GOP act the court jester over the Terri Schiavo debacle - unconstitutional and an international embarrassment.

I watch and behold grown men and women make fools of themselves in both parties acting like spoiled brats caring for one thing and one thing only - winning an election at all costs. With a complete disregard for the United States Constitution, both parties go after each other in a power struggle because one Party says they can do a better job than the other and neither is worth the powder to blow them all to hell. Neither Party argues or debates their policies with the Constitution in mind.

When I witness people like Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid say in the public domain, "The will of the Congress will be done" or, "The will of the Congress has been heard" and no one challenges them on that, something is seriously wrong and I have to question the mental capacity of those that have sworn to protect and defend the United States Constitution. Last I knew, it was the will of We The People that WILL be done and WILL be heard.

We The People no longer have standing, so says SCOTUS. Excuse me? And the GOP says and does nothing of this? Do you support such nonsense? That very statement is unconstitutional and you ask me if I have abandoned you? I am a Soldier and you would not appreciate what I really have to say to you...perhaps one day face-to-face I will just to watch you tremble in shame. I'll even show you my battle scars - the physical and psychological.

And, you should be ashamed. You should be ashamed that the United States Constitution gets left out of the debates except for the convenient mention of it when the cameras are rolling and republican democrats in drag are railing about Big Tents and winning elections. Shame on you.

Shame on you for giving lip service to border security.

Shame on you for allowing two Border Patrol officers to be sent to prison because democrat in drag Sutton's career enhancement was more important than two men that did their damn jobs and some socialist hack nobody gave the criminal a free pass and punished two men for doing their jobs. And the GOP did nothing until the very end...and that is unacceptable as well. Shame on President Bush and the GOP for that domestic and international embarrassment.

Shame on you for fighting like little girly-men over the unconstitutional non-stimulus stimulus quagmire that no one read and not one of you in Congress challenged the constitutionality of it.

Shame on you for even considering HR45.

Shame on you for passing HR1388 and the equally unconstitutional Senate version. How is that constitutional again?

Shame on you for passing HR1913 and soon S909. What is the constitutional authority for that again?

Shame on you for NOT debating HR450, the Enumerated Powers Act of 2009. Why are you so afraid of that Bill? Is it forcing the federal government to actually adhere to the United States Constitution? Why are you so afraid of We The People?

Nancy Pelosi Accuses the CIA of Misleading Congress (Videos)

Nancy Pelosi is considered the most powerful woman in America (no apology to Hillary), and she is in it deep, and up against the CIA. It all goes back to the old canard that Congress was lied to about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

It doesn't matter who we are talking about at the highest levels of government, everyone with any power in the Senate and House believed that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction. That information came from the Clinton administration and from intelligence. If that information was incorrect, and I'm not persuaded that it was incorrect...it was not because the intelligence was simply a lie intended to mislead our leaders. It was because it was "incorrect."

Why was the information incorrect? Probably because Jamie Gorelick and the Clinton administration so castrated the CIA and the FBI that agents were impotent to truly do a good work of "spying." Jean Pearce, writing for FrontPageMag.com and referring to Gorelick's infamous memo:

...she began acting as the point woman for a large-scale bureaucratic reorganization of intelligence agencies that ultimately placed the gathering of intelligence, and decisions about what – if anything – would be done with it under near-direct control of the White House.

After Gorelick was sworn-in as the Justice Department's Deputy Attorney General for the Clinton administration:

Bill Clinton issued Presidential Decision Directive 24. PDD 24 put intelligence gathering under the direct control of the president’s National Security Council, and ultimately the White House, through a four-level, top-down chain of command set up to govern (that is, stifle) intelligence sharing and cooperation between intelligence agencies.

From the moment the directive was implemented, intelligence sharing became a bureaucratic nightmare that required negotiating a befuddling bureaucracy that stopped directly at the President’s office [emphasis Maggie's].

So, right here in America, according to Pearce:

...the only place left to go with intelligence information...was straight up Clinton and Gorelick’s multi-tiered chain of command. Instead, information lethal to the Democratic Party languished inside the Justice Department, trapped behind Gorelick’s walls.

Now, all these years later, Nancy Pelosi has been trying to disconnect from that intelligence and her belief in it, and really, there is no way for her to do so with any credibility. Of course, few Democrats are concerned with cred, but now Pelosi is up against the CIA and I hope they skewer her.

Today, she drowning in her own smug abuse of America's military. She denies knowing that "enhanced interrogation techniques" included waterboarding. She can't keep her story straight, and that is a real liability when the world is watching.

Here's a snippet from Michelle Malkin:

Pelosi had a particularly frozen look on her face throughout her presser as she repeated the “Bush lied about Iraq” mantra to justify her own inaction:

“They mislead us all the time,” she said. And when a reporter asked whether the agency lied, she did not disagree.

She also suggested that the current Republican criticism marked an attempt to divert attention from the Bush administration’s actions.

“They misrepresented every step of the way, and they don’t want that focus on them, so they try to turn the focus on us,” she said.

If Pelosi were so incensed about how the CIA misled her, why wasn’t this her response to news of the 2002 briefing a week ago?

Blink, blink.

Pelosi issued a renewed call for a “truth commission.”

Boehner’s response: “Let’s put it all on the table.”

Other Dems (including Harry Reid, who opposes the “truth commission” as, um, a distraction) aren’t happy about where this dangerous blame game might take them.

Malkin linked to William Jacobson who characterizes the Dems battle ahead with the CIA "a political death match...." Follow the link from Michelle Malkin to Jacobson whose profile says he is an Associate Clinical Professor of Law, Cornell Law School, Ithaca, NY."

Along with today's video of Pelosi's press conference saying the CIA misled Congress, two more videos are some old history...a review of the support of taking down Saddam Hussein, which is what this is all about. Terrorism came to American soil, again, and had we not agreed that terrorism must be stopped, we would have no need of "enhanced interrogation techniques" and waterboarding would have never have been on the table.

For all the posturing, let just one of these doves have their own family threatened, and be fortunate enough to have the resources to waterboard that "threat," you can be certain they would beg for it...beg for anything that might save the life of their loved one...and I'm not talking about friends that may have been lost in the World Trade Center, as horrible as that was and is, but what happens when your child's life might be snatched away, as extremist Islam seeks to do.

By the way, if one of Pelosi's "loved ones" were being threatened, the CIA would not put her in the position of "deciding" to waterboard or not. The CIA would do the right thing (no apology to John McCain) make the decision, get the information and perhaps save a deserving life.

King Abdullah: No Alternative to Two State Solution for Israel

Jordan's King Abdullah has told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that under the terms of the Arab peace initiative, there are no alternatives to the two state solution, meaning an official state for Palestinians, side-by-side with Israel. In fact, Abdullah turned the screws a bit harder and said:

[there] is consensus in the international community that there is no alternative to the two-state solution."

The AP author, Jamal Halaby, says, without quoting anyone:

The Arab peace initiative would offer Israel relations with the 23 Arab League members in exchange for its withdrawal from land it occupied in the 1967 war, a just solution for Palestinian refugees and the establishment of a Palestinian state with east Jerusalem as its capital.

Does it get any cheekier than that?

Isn't it simple? Israel gives away it's holiest site, the Temple Mount, and agrees to live sided-by-side with Palestinians who have vowed to bring about the destruction of Israel and have so-stated in their Charter.
