Hat tip Jihad Watch

For the past few Sundays, I have been attending protests at the Federal Building in Westwood, just a few corners away from the UCLA campus. As reported here, the protests have been both pro-Hamas and pro-Israel. Last Sunday, I was standing on the pro-Hamas side of Wilshire Blvd. holding several placards, two of which condemned anti-Semitism and Jew hatred in the US. Who should object to that, right? Naturally I was confronted with a handful of pro-Hamas types. Two of them, who were older Arab men, were quite belligerent. One told me in no uncertain terms that he held Jews responsible not just for the fighting in Gaza, but a host of other problems like controlling our government and  banks. He called me a Jew as well. I was also told, "F-You"a few times .

Now comes this latest episode of anti-Semitism in Westwood.

Why should the students at UCLA be shocked about this? Did they not see it during the past year when Students for Justice in Palestine, an insidious organization, tried to keep Jewish students off the student government and fought the appointment of a Jewish student to the UC Regents? Have they not seen it when the Muslim Student Association brought anti-Jewish speakers like Amir Abdel Malik Ali to campus? No less than UC President Janet Napolitano and UCLA Chancellor Gene Block have had to address it in statements to the UCLA community. Anti-Semitism has been right in front of their noses. And now they are shocked?
