Hat tip Jihad Watch
Robert Spencer's Jihad Watch has posted photos of an area adjacent to the Cross Cultural Center at UC Irvine, which is used every day by Muslim Students to conduct their prayers.
http://www.jihadwatch.org/2012/11/university-of-california-irvine-allows-muslim-prayer-in-area-restricted-to-all-othersted.html
(No, the photos did not come from Yours Truly.)
All I can add is that the pictures are accurate, that this area has long been a hangout for the MSU students, that they do, indeed, conduct their prayers there, and that they have been known to ask outsiders to leave when they are praying. If you walk into that area, you will draw looks. And yes, there is a call to prayer. On one occasion this year, I observed a young man standing on the wall in front of the patio and facing out over Ring Road ( the principal campus walkway) giving the call to prayer
In addition, a few days ago, someone called the UCI Fire Marshall's Office to inquire about the sign. The caller was told that the sign had been in place for the past four years, that there were similar signs all over the campus, that the rule was not strictly enforced, and in this case, would have to be enforced by the Cross Cultural Center, which is located next to the patio. (Whether that patio is part of the CCC is dubious. There is a university building directly behind the patio, but the doors are locked, and there appear to be no active rooms on that side of the building, which houses the campus newspaper office to the rear.)
As to the first point that the sign has been in place for four years, that is simply not true. I can testify personally to that. I don't know when it was put up, but the first time I saw it was this past Monday afternoon. I can tell you that the sign was recently put up. Just one look tells you the sign is not 4 years old. It is fairly new. As to there being similar signs all over campus, that is surprising to me as well. On Thursday, I walked all around Ring Road and checked a few courtyards. I saw no other such sign anywhere on campus.
My question is why was this sign recently put up by the university fire marshal. Could it have been to stop the use of the patio by the MSU for their daily prayers? I seriously doubt it. If so, it is being ignored. That raises the question of whether the fire marshal put up the sign, in effect, to keep others out of the patio area, which in effect, is the MSU gathering place. If the university wants the area clear in case of fire, why is there a metal picnic-type table with bench and soda machines there?
This all raises the question of restriction of religious practices (Muslims are required to pray 5 times a day at specified hours) and whether public displays of prayers might violate some government code of separation of church and state. There is, in fact, a non-denominational chapel facility on the campus that is available for all religions to use. Another question is whether a university should put its imprimatur on a certain part of the campus being restricted to one group. Obviously, that is not official, but unofficially, perhaps? If UCI really wants to have a certain section of its (public) campus reserved for Muslims, why not just put a sign up that says, "Muslims only"? Is that really what the average Muslim student wants? I would hope not.
So why is that sign there? Is it to keep the Muslims from praying there or to keep non-Muslims out?
But don't ask me; I'm just a part-time teacher here. Inquiries should be directed to UC Irvine.

Exhuming Arafat

"How does one exhume the Devil?"
One of the most complicated archaeological projects in the history of the Middle East is still on-going: the exhumation of Yassir Arafat's sorry remains. And why this unusual project? So the Palestinian historians and other conspiracy theorists can "prove" that the Israelis poisoned the terrorist leader. Maybe that quack professor Jeff Halper will charge that the Israelis used that famous spectral dust to take Arafat out.
http://www.foxnews.com/world/2012/11/24/arafat-remains-said-to-be-exhumed-for-investigation-into-death/
Even if the supposition were true, I would applaud the Israelis for eliminating the old bastard.
"Earlier this month, workers began prying open the concrete-encased tomb in Arafat's former government headquarters in the West Bank city of Ramallah."
Really? Over here in the US, that's a one-day project at the most. Maybe they should ask the more technologically-advanced Israelis for assistance.
Or the Palestinians could do it quickly by using their specialized bombing techniques.
"Go stand over there next to that tomb, kid."

Pro-Israel Rally in LA

Yesterday, about 1,400 people turned up at the Federal Building in West LA to show their support for Israel. Naturally, a couple of hundred keffiya-clad pro-terrorist forces showed up as well. The below video is by Jay Firestone and was shown in the LA Jewish Journal. In the below video, I heard one Palestinian supporter yelling, "Hezbollah!". That is the terrorist organization that blew up the Marine barracks in Lebanon and killed over 200 Americans back in the 1980s.
The Blaze has three videos that show the clashes between the two sides on Wilshire Blvd.
http://www.theblaze.com/stories/raw-video-pro-israel-rally-in-los-angeles-ends-in-violence-after-palestinian-supporters-disrupt-event/
Well, as you can see a wonderful time was had by all. In one of The Blaze videos a man is heard calling a woman a "sharmota" ("whore"-I believe the Arabic and Hebrew words are similar). In addition, a Jewish friend of mine who was there heard a Middle Eastern guy calling a Jewish woman a "Jewish pig" along with several other expletives.
This is somewhat similar to the scene in LA during the last Gaza go-around in 2009 when yours truly was out there holding an Israeli sign.

This, of course, is just like the last go-around in Gaza when mostly Arab crowds in LA, San Francisco and Ft Lauderdale were crying, "Jews-back to the ovens", "Hitler rest in peace", and "Jews as fossil fuel". It is foul and disgusting and has no place in our country.
One hardly knows what to say when we hear these words in the streets of American cities directed toward our own Jewish citizens.
On second thought, I do know what to say.

Operation Pillar Of Defense UPDATED
By Findalis
Is the name of the latest operation against Hamas in Gaza. This last weekend saw over 150 rockets fired at cities and towns in Southern Israel. Many of them fired at the time that children were leaving school for the day. It was a miracle that nobody was killed. Add to the rocket attack an attack on a military vehicle that has left a soldier in critical condition, it was no wonder that Israel has lost her patience and has gone on the attack.
I just hope that this time they are not stopped by Obama's inaugural in order to give him a peaceful day and will do what it takes to secure the South.

The IAF fired a missile at a car in Gaza Wednesday, killing the commander of Hamas's "military" terror wing, Ahmed Jaabari. Israel's TV Channel 2 says his son was also killed.
There are reports that Raed al-Atar, Commander of Hamas's southern division, has also been killed.
Hamas responded by saying that it was now in a state of "open war" with Israel with no date set for its end.
The IAF reportedly also struck targets in Khan Younes and Rafiah. Channel 2 said that the IAF has been striking launch silos for Hamas's longer-range Fajr rockets, which can hit central Israel, in order to preclude their use. About 20 reinforced silos holding Fajr-3 and Fajr-5 silos were reportedly hit.
Nine people have been killed in Gaza, according to reports.
The IDF has begun a wide scale operation, which has been named "Amud Anan," a phrase that refers to the column-shaped cloud that led the Israelites in Sinai during the Exodus from Egypt. The official English name is Pillar of Defense.
Terror missiles have reportedly been fired at Sderot and Ashkelon. There have been no reports of casualties.
Egypt's response to the events is not yet known. Hamas is saying that the "new Egypt" under Mohammed Morsi must withdraw from the Camp David accords with Israel and expel Israel's ambassador in Cairo.
Among other exploits, Ahmed Jaabari, 52, was personally responsible for the abduction and holding of IDF Sgt. Gilad Shalit. Raed al-Atar was in charge of Hamas's smuggling tunnels. He was released from jail in Israeli in 1995.
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak appear to have purposely diverted attention away from Gaza by visiting northern Israel and publicly discussing the Syrian threat Wednesday, in order to make it easier to catch the Hamas off guard.
The IDF Spokesman, Brig. Gen. Yoav Mordechai, announced on his Facebook page that "A harsh blow has landed upon Hamas's command and control array, as the IDF hit Ahmed Jaabari, the head of the military wing of Hamas in Gaza, who headed the organization and dealt directly with carrying out terror attacks against Israel.
"We are at the beginning of a wide scale attack, in view of the unbearable situation of the residents of the South," he added.
"While we are not talking about conquering all of Gaza," Mordechai told Channel 2, "there is preparation for a ground operation as well, which will be undertaken if it is necessary. The required military units that need to be diverted for such an operation are at the ready," he said.
"The occupation has opened the gates of hell on itself," said a statement from Hamas's Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, which vowed its terrorists would "continue the path of resistance."
The United States is closely watching developments in Gaza following the killing Wednesday of Hamas' military chief in an Israeli air strike, a Pentagon spokesman said.
"We're monitoring the situation closely. We stand by our Israeli partners in their right to defend themselves against terrorism," Lieutenant Colonel Stephen Warren said.
President Barack Obama's national security adviser, Tom Donilon, met Monday with his Israeli counterpart, Yaakov Amidror, at the White House.

Did Broadwell Divulge Classified Information?
Gary Fouse
fousesquawk
http://garyfouse.blogspot.com
That is just one of the burning questions surrounding the revelation that David Petraeus was having an affair with his biographer Paula Broadwell. Politico has the story with a video shot of Broadwell discussing her professional position at the time.
http://www.politico.com/blogs/under-the-radar/2012/11/broadwell-spoke-of-access-to-classified-info-149263.html
In addition the Arutz Sheva link quoting her statements at the University of Denver on October 26 is backed up by the video, which was shown by Andrea Mitchell this morning on MSNBC. Breitbart also has a report on the Denver statements here.
Here is one important point. Moralizing aside, when you are in a position like director of the CIA, you cannot leave yourself open to blackmail. What if he had been president of the United States, be jeezus?
Strike that.
That reminds me of the time Dick "Bum Scoop" Morris was Clinton's adviser in the White House. Dickie was cavorting with some call girl in his Washington penthouse, and letting her listen in on his conversations with the President.
We also need to know why the FBI didn't (reportedly) advise President Obama about the Petraeus affair until just before the announcement came out. Are you really going to believe that the FBI was investigating an affair involving the director of the CIA and that crazy e-mails were flying around from this woman that might affect national security that the president was the last to know? I don't buy that. More plausible is a scenario that the White House/President were told and held it until after the election. With the election secured and Petraeus scheduled to appear before Congress and tell them what he knew about Benghazi this very Thursday, the hammer fell. According to the below Wall Street Journal report, the FBI was involved in this case during the summer.

Meanwhile, the mainstream media, led by MSNBC, is trying to keep Obama out of this. Unfortunately for them, there is the salacious aspect of this scandal-a SEX scandal- that will fuel the public interest.
I do feel bad for Petraeus. It is sad to see such a great career ended in this manner. He does have a duty to the nation, however, to be forthcoming about Benghazi that does not end with his resignation.
I wonder how long it will be before Obama claims Executive Privilege.

It Has Begun...

Monkey in the Middle
If you were wondering what the first move the Obama Regime would be, wait no longer. It is the US Constitution and the 2nd Amendment.
This treaty is in direct violation of the Second Amendment.
How many of these "treaties" of these violations of our basic and universal rights will we accept before we cry ENOUGH? What will it take before we finally become too angered?
Monkey in the Middle
If you were wondering what the first move the Obama Regime would be, wait no longer. It is the US Constitution and the 2nd Amendment.
Hours after U.S. President Barack Obama was re-elected, the United States backed a U.N. committee's call on Wednesday to renew debate over a draft international treaty to regulate the $70 billion global conventional arms trade.Every dictatorship first removes private gun ownership. It is the only way that the dictator can guarantee that he will be safe from armed revolution by the population.
U.N. delegates and gun control activists have complained that talks collapsed in July largely because Obama feared attacks from Republican rival Mitt Romney if his administration was seen as supporting the pact, a charge Washington denies.
The month-long talks at U.N. headquarters broke off after the United States - along with Russia and other major arms producers - said it had problems with the draft treaty and asked for more time.
But the U.N. General Assembly's disarmament committee moved quickly after Obama's win to approve a resolution calling for a new round of talks March 18-28. It passed with 157 votes in favor, none against and 18 abstentions.
U.N. diplomats said the vote had been expected before Tuesday's U.S. presidential election but was delayed due to Superstorm Sandy, which caused a three-day closure of the United Nations last week.
An official at the U.S. mission said Washington's objectives have not changed.
"We seek a treaty that contributes to international security by fighting illicit arms trafficking and proliferation, protects the sovereign right of states to conduct legitimate arms trade, and meets the concerns that we have been articulating throughout," the official said.
"We will not accept any treaty that infringes on the constitutional rights of our citizens to bear arms," he said.
U.S. officials have acknowledged privately that the treaty under discussion would have no effect on domestic gun sales and ownership because it would apply only to exports.
The main reason the arms trade talks are taking place at all is that the United States - the world's biggest arms trader accounting for more than 40 percent of global conventional arms transfers - reversed U.S. policy on the issue after Obama was first elected and decided in 2009 to support a treaty.
Countries that abstained included Russia, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Sudan, Belarus, Cuba and Iran. China, a major arms producer that has traditionally abstained, voted in favor.
Among the top six arms-exporting nations, Russia cast the only abstention. Britain, France and Germany joined China and the United States in support of the resolution.
The measure now goes to the 193-nation General Assembly for a formal vote. It is expected to pass.
The resolution said countries are "determined to build on the progress made to date towards the adoption of a strong, balanced and effective Arms Trade Treaty."
Jeff Abramson, director of Control Arms, a coalition of advocacy groups, urged states to agree on stringent provisions.
"In Syria, we have seen the death toll rise well over 30,000, with weapons and ammunition pouring in the country for months now," he said. "We need a treaty that will set tough rules to control the arms trade, that will save lives and truly make the world a better place."
Brian Wood of Amnesty International said: "After today's resounding vote, if the larger arms trading countries show real political will in the negotiations, we're only months away from securing a new global deal that has the potential to stop weapons reaching those who seriously abuse human rights."
The treaty would require states to make respecting human rights a criterion for allowing arms exports.
Britain's U.N. mission said on its Twitter feed it hoped that the March negotiations would yield the final text of a treaty. Such a pact would then need to be ratified by the individual signatories before it could enter into force.
The National Rifle Association, the powerful U.S. interest group, strongly opposes the arms treaty and had endorsed Romney.
The United States has denied it sought to delay negotiations for political reasons, saying it had genuine problems with the draft as written.

This treaty is in direct violation of the Second Amendment.
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.Yet this treaty puts limits on our gun ownership rights.
How many of these "treaties" of these violations of our basic and universal rights will we accept before we cry ENOUGH? What will it take before we finally become too angered?

It Is Over!

That is the election. Now comes the harder part of governing. Barack Hussein Obama running one of the dirtiest campaigns in history, has pulled out a victory over Willard "Mitt" Romney. We will have 4 more years of Obama, his spending spree, his destruction of our military, his executive orders, etc. 4 more years in which he will try to turn us into Greece and instill into us an Nanny State.
We can stop him and the Democrats cold!
We need to remind our Congressmen that they hold the purse strings. That they need to keep a tight control on the purse strings. Make sure they do not raise the debt ceiling any more. Insist on a budget. We have power. The phone, email, letters. Inundate their offices with messages. Remind them of the power of the ballot box and what happened in 2010. We will keep their feet to the fire! The TEA Party will be back and stronger than before.
This nation is 236 years old. We have survived 2 wars with Great Britain, 1 Civil War, 1 War with the Indians, 1 War with Mexico, 1 War with Spain, 2 World Wars, 1 War with Korea, 1 War in Vietnam, 2 Wars in the Gulf, a multitudes of depressions, recessions, economic bubbles, 9/11, multiple scandals, and bad Presidents.
WE WILL SURVIVE OBAMA TOO!!!!
That I promise you. That I swear we will do!
Remember that and get ready to raise Hell!

The 60 Minutes Gap

KROFT: Mr. President, this morning you went out of your way to avoid the use of the word terrorism in connection with the Libya Attack, do you believe that this was a terrorism attack?
Isn't it amazing how the media clips and edits to give the best possible spin to their favored side (Obama and the Democrats)? In this case, Fox's Bret Baier discloses how CBS has just now released a previously unshown clip of their interview with President Obama on September 12, hours after that Rose Garden interview. It seems that after that debate dispute on whether Obama had called Benghazi an act of terrorism on September 12, CBS did some editing to avoid the appearance that their interviewer, Steve Kroft, had actually challenged Obama for not calling it terrorism.
http://politics.blogs.foxnews.com/2012/11/05/what-president-obama-really-said-60-minutes-interview-about-benghazi/
Clearly, on September 12, after the Rose Garden appearance by the President, Steve Kroft did not have the impression that the President had called it an act of terror, rather he had "gone out of his way" not to use the term.
So now, a couple of days before the election, CBS releases this latest clip (without fanfare) probably to cover their asses before Baier or someone else blew the top off their deceit.

OBAMA: Well it’s too early to tell exactly how this came about, what group was involved, but obviously it was an attack on Americans. And we are going to be working with the Libyan government to make sure that we bring these folks to justice, one way or the other.
KROFT: It’s been described as a mob action, but there are reports that they were very heavily armed with grenades, that doesn’t sound like your normal demonstration.
OBAMA: As I said, we’re still investigating exactly what happened, I don’t want to jump the gun on this. But your right that this is not a situation that was exactly the same as what happened in Egypt. And my suspicion is there are folks involved in this. Who were looking to target Americans from the start. So we’re gonna make sure that our first priority is to get our folks out safe, make sure our embassies are secured around the world and then we are going to go after those folks who carried this ou

Irma La Douce Talks About Her First Time

Bon jour. This is Irma, and I want to tell you about my first time. I remember my first customer when I got into this business. He was everything a first customer should be. He was such a smooth talker that he talked his way right up the stairs and into my boudoir.
But don't think that he was cheap when it came to money. He was a big spender, indeed. I don't know where all that money came from, but who's complainin'?
And he cared about me and my well-being. He made sure I had everything I needed to keep from getting any diseases. He even supplied me with my condoms and birth control pills.
What a guy!
"Thank heaven for leetle girls"
That's why I'm hoping you Americans re-elect Barack Obama. He reminds me of my very first time. In fact, all of France is hoping Obama wins. So make us Frenchies happy and re-elect Barack Obama.
(Robert Menendez? Name doesn't ring a bell.)

According to the below article by Egypt Independent, the European Union is in negations with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Arab league and the African Union to pass laws against blasphemy against Islam.
http://www.egyptindependent.com/news/arab-league-eyes-blasphemy-bill-syria-solution
Meanwhile, as we speak, religious minorities in Islamic countries are being persecuted-not the least of which are the Coptic Christians in Egypt-where this report originated. Nothing, of course, was mentioned about that in the article.
Europe, of course, has no First Amendment, as we do. People can be prosecuted for what they say. Just ask Geert Wilders in the Netherlands and Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff in Austria. Notwithstanding are freedom of speech, there is a drive through the UN to bring similar legislation to the US. Think it can't happen here?
Just ask Nakoula B. Nakoula. He still sits in jail for a "probation violation" even after we know that his video, "The Innocence of Muslims" was not the cause of what happened on September 11.
